With the arrival of August comes the realization that while it is still very much summer, fall is just around the corner. I was excited to have the opportunity to collaborate with Arhaus on a post exploring the colors of early fall and how to incorporate them in decor as the summer transitions to fall. Since it is still summer, it might be a bit early for pumpkins and the oranges and reds of fall’s finery but you can easily Take Your Decor From Summer To Fall Using Neutral, Yellow, and Brown

In my early summer home tour I shared a shot of my painted staircase (bottom left) and I received so many positive questions and comments about them that I decided there was enough interest to create a post of Swoonworthy Staircase Makeovers. Now I am wanting to paint the small set of stairs leading from my back door to the kitchen. I will add that project to the never ending to-do list!

Yesterday I participated in the Thrifty Chicks August Challenge with a “birds” theme. I shared some of my Simple Bird Vignettes.
