Happy August dear readers, and welcome back to Thursday Favorite Things! I am so happy to be joining Katherine at Katherine’s Corner and a wonderful group of blogging friends as a co-hostess for this fantastic weekly link party for bloggers and blog readers too! If you are looking to grow your blog, make new friends, and be inspired each week, this is the place to be. *Bloggers: If you would like a chance to be featured, please leave me a comment with the number of your link up. We can’t wait to see what you have to share this week! (If you missed last week’s party you can find it here.) To get the party started, let’s take a look at what I have been up to recently:
Can you believe it’s August already? This week I have been doing some deep cleaning around the house and making a few small decorative changes to reflect the beauty of late summer.
I have been planning to make some changes to the garden and patio for late summer in preparation for transitioning to fall. I shared some easy ideas in my post, Sprucing Up Outdoor Entertaining Areas For Summer.
While on vacation at the beach a couple of weeks ago, I discovered some new delicious smoothies. I have been on a “smoothie” kick ever since! I starting looking up various recipes to try and I was inspired to share a post of Five Nutritious Smoothie Recipes (gluten free, dairy free and refined sugar free). Yum!
Summer is flying by and we still haven’t gotten around to making any changes to the kitchen, which was on the to-do list! The main hold up is that I haven’t made up my mind on which DIY countertop makeover I want to try. On Tuesday I shared a round up of Amazing DIY Countertop Makeovers for inspiration. I am still undecided though!
This summer I found a couple of cute vintage footstools that just needed a little TLC. I gave them both French Farmhouse Style makeovers and I love how they turned out. Yesterday I shared the makeovers here.
