Happy OCTOBER and welcome to Thursday Favorite Things! I am so happy to be joining Katherine at Katherine’s Corner and a wonderful group of blogging friends as a co-hostess for this fantastic weekly link party for bloggers and blog readers too! If you are looking to grow your blog, make new friends, and be inspired each week, this is the place to be. *Bloggers: If you would like a chance to be featured, please leave me a comment with the number of your link up. We can’t wait to see what you have to share this week! (If you missed last week’s party you can find it here. To get the party started, let’s take a look at what I have been up to recently:
On Tuesday I hosted the Embracing Fall Home Tours and it was so much fun! I enjoyed getting together with 25 blogging friends to share how we are embracing fall in our homes this year. If you love home tours and all things fall, you will certainly be inspired by all of the cozy fall home and garden ideas.
Fresh and Fragrant Fall Simmer Pot Recipe
We finally had more Autumn like temperatures this weekend which inspired me to do a little more fall decorating and deep cleaning. I enjoyed using my favorite all-natural Fresh and Fragrant Fall simmer to fill our home with aroma of fall within minutes. If you have never used simmers I encourage you to try this super easy simmer pot recipe.
One Room Challenge Week 1: Tiny Bathroom Makeover Ideas
The official Fall 2019 One Room Challenge sponsored by Better Homes and Gardens has begun! I have once again to participate in this six week challenge by giving our tiny powder room a much needed makeover. Check out my post for some the before photos and some ideas I have for the makeover.
Soccer mom duties took up some of my blogging time this week! I didn’t share a Pin Away Wednesdays post due to son’s high school regional tournament games. His team made it through the first round and they are now headed toward championship play offs play next week! It has been fun to watch the games during our first cool evenings of the season that actually felt like fall! We even enjoyed some hot pumpkin spiced apple cider after the games. Yum!
Here’s my last few Pin Away Wednesdays posts in case you missed them:
Pin Away Wednesdays: Fall Wreath Ideas
Pin Away Wednesdays: French Country Fall Decorating

October 10, 2019 at 9:42 pmHappy fall to you, Amber! Glad you are getting some nicer weather so you can get back outside. I know I have issues with the heat and humidity here in Texas and did no gardening over summer. Prickly heat once was enough! Hope to get back out this weekend. 🙂
Thank you for hosting the party, as always! Finally back after having to adjust to work life again. I’ve linked up #146, #147 and #148 with an anniversary post, a couple of fun fall vignettes with pumpkins, and a post about our Downton Abbey/Roaring 1920’s dinner with jazz music. Hope you like them!
Enjoy the weekend and I’ll hop over to your fall party post and see what everyone linked up.
