Happy September, and welcome to Thursday Favorite Things! If you are looking to grow your blog, make new friends, and be inspired each week, this is the place to be. *Bloggers: If you would like a chance to be featured, please leave me a comment with the number of your link up. We can’t wait to see what you have to share this week! (If you missed last week’s party you can find it here. To get the party started, let’s take a look at what I have been up to recently:
Early Fall Decorating with Vintage and Thrifted Finds
On Tuesday I joined 28 blogging friends for the Transitioning from Summer t0 Fall Blog Hop! I shared how I have been adding just a few very early fall touches to our home using vintage and thrifted finds. After viewing all of the lovely posts I am feeling even more inspired as we move toward my favorite season.
If you are needing a little “pre-fall” inspo be sure to check out my post and all of the other beautiful blogs on the hop. You can find their links via the link up at the end of my post.
Pin Away Wednesdays: Beautiful Baskets
Yesterday I shared highlights from my “A Tisket, A Tasket, Beautiful Baskets” Pinterest board as part of my weekly Pin Away Wednesday series. I enjoy using baskets in decor year-round, but I think they are most beautiful filled with Autumn’s gifts from nature. If you are a basket lover I think you will enjoy this post full of images of beautiful baskets to pin away!
This summer I grew eucalyptus in a pot and I recently harvested some beautiful stems. They looked so pretty in a simple glass hobnail vase that I was inspired to create A French Inspired Vignette with Fresh Eucalyptus in the dining room. Last weekend while I was out junkin’ I snatched a copy of Carolyn Westbrook’s The French Inspired Home which definitely put me in a mood to create more French decor vibes around the house. If you are interested in growing and decorating with eucalyptus (and decorating in vintage French style) check out my post.
It’s hard to believe that Labor Day has come and gone and that we are moving into fall so fast! Next Wednesday I will be sharing more Fall decorating ideas as party of the Fall Home Tours hosted by Marty of A Stroll Thru Life. There are always a lot of different decor styles represented on the tour with a little bit of something for everyone. I hope you will join us for the tours beginning on Monday. Let the pumpkins start rolling in!!!

September 6, 2019 at 7:12 amThanks so much for the feature, Amber! I love hearing that you grew eucalyptus. I have no idea if I could grow it in our climate, but I’d love to try. There’s nothing I like better for garlands and filler in flower arrangements. Have a wonderful weekend!
