Happy September dear friends and welcome back for another post in my Pin Away Wednesday series! Today I am sharing highlights from one of my favorite Pinterest boards, “A Tisket, A Tasket, Beautiful Baskets!” For today’s post I will be sharing all kinds of baskets from Pinterest with a little emphasis on fall baskets for extra fall inspiration. If you are a basket lover, get ready to pin away!
French Farmhouse Basket Makeover Easy Gray Wash Tutorial
Ever since I gave a $2.oo yard sale basket a French Farmhouse makeover a couple of weeks ago I have been on a “basket kick” again. I have a few other old baskets in my stash that I plan to makeover soon.
I got extremely lucky last week when a junkin’ friend of mine offered me this gorgeous French market basket on wheels for a steal, and just in time for fall! I decorate with baskets all throughout the year but I probably use them the most in my decor during fall and the holidays.
Creative Fall Decorating with Baskets
Large or small, baskets filled with herbs or flowers add beautiful, old world cottage style to any space.

I especially love baskets full of dried flowers.
I am always drawn to tall, skinny baskets which are perfect for with hydrangeas or lavender.
Baskets of any shape and size filled with fresh lavender or dried lavender are always dreamy.
I also love baskets with unique shapes and stenciled or stamped images and labels.
Handcrafted baskets are especially beautiful and sturdy such as laundry baskets made by the Amish.
Even when they are empty the artistry of the baskets themselves creates a visual impact, especially when displayed en masse or as collections.
Collecting picnic baskets is always a good idea! They are perfect for storage.
Tobacco baskets are all the rage in modern farmhouse decor, but they have been around for ages.
I also love bushel baskets, especially for use in fall decor. They are inexpensive and usually easy to find. It is so simple to give them a makeover with paint or stain.
It’s the perfect time of year to grab a basket of any kind and head out to the orchard for some apple picking!
In addition to wicker and rattan baskets, I collect metal and wire baskets.
I use baskets all around our home for their traditional utilitarian use as storage as well as corralling interesting collections of vintage treasures in what I call “basket vignettes.”
After working on this post, I just want to grab my French market basket tote and head out to the garden center to see if any early pumpkins or gourds have arrived!
I just love baskets! I could literally pin away for hours! I have so many more great pins on my “A Tisket, A Tasket Beautiful Baskets” board but I have to stop myself from sharing them all here or I will be writing this post all night. If you love baskets as much as I do,be sure to follow my board. I am always searching for unique and beautiful baskets to “collect” there.
Are you a basket collector too? How do you use baskets in your home? I love hearing from you, dear readers!
Thanks for visiting today!

Oh my goodness, yes! I do love baskets and I guess I got this “basket disease” from my mother. 😉 She had many and I would help her dust and rinse them when they needed it. I miss a pot rack for that as we always hung ours when I was a kid!! (Might be a redecorating challenge for next year… hmmm.)
Love all the baskets you’ve found, Amber. Happy to feature your post yet again (I can always count on a beautiful post from over your way!) for Share Your Style #224.
Happy fall,

I LOVE LOVE this post. I must have an obsession with baskets even though I don’t have that many. I think I pinned almost every. single. picture. And now must find more baskets! Thank you so much for the inspiration and gathering of all these beautiful accounts.
