Hello dear friends! I hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend and a great start to summer this past week! Last weekend the ladies from the Tea and Roses Blog Hop and I hosted a “Spring Tea Party” link up for everyone to get together to celebrate the beauty of spring one last time before heading full force into summer in blog land.
Summer is here and it’s the season we all want to enjoy some extra vacation time, leisurely weekend activities or even renovating our homes and landscapes. Summer should be stress free and care free, but there’s just one little problem…it can be expensive! From higher utility bills due to cranking up the air conditioning, to gas spent on weekend road trips, vacation expenses or building a costly new deck, you can easily see why you might struggle a bit more with finances during the summer. Today I am sharing a round up of ideas that I have found to be useful and informative from frugal lifestyle and finance bloggers that can help us all save a little extra money each month or even start saving now for a dream vacation next summer. *This post contains affiliate links.
How often do you deep clean your home? In addition to the daily and weekly routines chores of laundry, dishes, and cleaning the bathrooms, it is important to deep clean and sanitize your home on a regular basis. This includes wiping down faucets, cleaning toilets, changing bedding and disinfecting the floors. Deep cleaning not only makes things look and feel more organized, it is actually necessary to keep things sanitized to reduce the risk of illness, infections and even pesky bug issues, especially in the summer. The great news is that you don’t have to use toxic chemicals to sanitize your home! By using some simple DIY non-toxic cleaners and a few household cleaning tips, you can easily keep your home clean, safe and sanitized. *This post contains affiliate links.
Summer is here and we all love plenty of sunshine! But who else enjoys a good summer storm like I do? I love to sit on the front porch on a summer evening with the candles lit and just watch, listen, and smell the fresh rain as it waters the gardens and cools things down a bit. I also love how lush and green everything looks after a hard summer rain.
Although I love summer rain and I am not afraid of storms, there can still be some really heavy thunderstorms in the summer with the potential to cause loss and damage to a home. Today I am sharing some summer storm safety tips. *This post contains affiliate links.
