Spring has finally sprung, and Easter is on it’s way! I am excited to share some “Seasonal Saturday” inspiration for this sweet and special time of year. I have invited some of my dear blogging friends along to join in the fun too!
Today I am sharing my Farmhouse Easter tablescape with vintage dishes, and a few views of my spring dining room. You will find links to the other beautiful spring and Easter posts at the end of this post.
A Simple and Sweet Rustic Farmhouse Easter Tablescape
I knew we are going to be out of town during the week before Easter, so I wanted to put together a very simple Easter tablescape that would easily transition to spring. I also didn’t want to spend a penny on my Easter and spring decor this year.
I wanted a bit of a vintage-rustic Easter tablescape, so I decided to not to use a table cloth or place mats on the farm table. I kept my tablescape favorites such as the burlap ticking stripe runner, burlap chargers, boxwood topiaries, mini-urns and dough bowl centerpiece with a candle cloche in the center.
For my centerpiece, I went with my tried and true dough bowl with a candle cloche in the center, along with my boxwood topiaries on each side and tiny chippy urns. If you have been a follower for a while, then you have seen me use these items over and over in new ways. This year I kept the dough bowl display extremely simple by filling it with moss, ferns and eggs or a springy look. The tiny fairy lights to make it extra festive.
I didn’t use any big bunnies on my Easter table this year, since my big duck on top of the cabinet is the spring animal of focus in the dining room.
I have plenty of bunnies elsewhere in the kitchen and living room. You can hunt for them all in my recent post, Simple Spring Decor with Pops of Color.
However, there is one little tiny mossy bunny in the dough bowl centerpiece and some tiny bunny cookies in each vintage tea cup. In addition to the vintage dishes on my table, you might notice the three pretty egg plates on my wall plate rack.
I love these dainty vintage dishes! I think they look so perfect for the season with the colors and tiny flowers design. I filled each tea cup with jelly beans and adorable little bunny cookies that I picked up at Dollar Tree FIVE years ago! My blog readers know I always reuse cheap holiday candy as props. Since the candy never seems to rot or mold, it does make you question what’s in it…
I have these lovely dishes in storage since we moved three years ago, and I had almost forgotten about them until I was doing some spring cleaning. Since I haven’t used them in so long, they feel “new” to me again.
I first shared these dishes several years ago in my Little Petite French Tea Party (For Me!) Post.
Even though I use these French chippy-shabby urns often in tablescapes, I just change up what is in them so I never get tired of them. I am loving using these little daffodils this year! The daffodils in bloom outside inspired the use of the yellow napkins and yellow velvet pillow. For Easter whimsy, I placed a couple of large Easter eggs on each end of the table.
I am also enjoying real daffodils from the garden on the living room mantel and in the kitchen.
When it comes to creating a special holiday tablescape, I think it’s the little details that really make it special. I dressed up each boxwood topiary with pink velvet bows, and placed a few favorite little tiny chicks along the table runner.
The dish pattern is 1930’s “Mildred” by Mt. Clemons pottery, although a few of them are unmarked.
I keep my faux orchids in a French urn in the cubby on the dining room built ins from Spring through fall. I just change some of the accents around it seasonally. I tucked in a few little egg and stacked the urn on top of some favorite gardening books for extra seasonal color and interest.
These jelly beans are too pretty to eat ( and too old!)
I h0pe you enjoyed seeing my simple Farmhouse Easter Tablescape and a few views around the dining room! Now it’s time to head over to Decor to Adore to see Laura’s sweet touches of spring! Don’t forget to click on each link below for more spring seasonal Saturday inspiration.

Love those large eggs! Seeing your gardening books reminded me I need to switch mine out. All 2 of them. lol. Thanks for the hop. pinned
