Happy September, and welcome to Thursday Favorite Things! I am thrilled to be joining Katherine at Katherine’s Corner and wonderful group of bloggers for my third year as a co-hostess for this fantastic weekly link party for bloggers and blog readers too!
If you are looking to grow your blog, make new friends, and or simply to be inspired each week, this is the place to be! *Bloggers: If you would like a chance to be featured, please leave a comment with the number of your link up. We can’t wait to see what you have to share this week! (If you missed the last party you can find it here.) To get the party started, let’s take a look at what I have been up to recently:
Sunflowers are really stealing the show right now in Kentucky! I love how these gorgeous flowers brighten up any space! On Sunday I shared some beautiful ideas for Summer-to-Fall Decorating with Sunflowers.
My first sunflower of bloomed! There are a few more getting ready to bloom and hopefully I will get a chance to share those styled in a vase this weekend.
Elle Decor Website Feature!
This week I was notified that my “Music of Night Halloween Tea Party with Beethoven” has been featured among the “30 Best Ideas for an Elevated Halloween Table” on Elle Decor Magazine official website! I have had some wonderful successes with my blog including a few features in national decorating magazines and work as an influencer in the design community, but to be recognized by one of the most high end and famous interior design magazines in the world is beyond humbling!
Of all the table settings I have designed it is probably the one that I put the most creativity into, so I am thrilled that it has been recognized in this way. Even though I no longer “celebrate” Halloween for spirutual reasons, I still enjoy this post as a creative and quirky read for decorators, vintage collectors, romantics and music enthusiasts (it even includes a fun “music history mystery” to solve) I hope you will have a look (and a listen!)

Virtual Teaching Update
I survived my first week of teaching choir and arts and humanities online! There are a lot of challenges but we will make it with perseverance! I had a lot of fun designing a Bitmoji for my online classroom too. All of my family, friends and students have cracked up at how spot on it is!
Here is a photo I took Friday right after work. I am looking a bit tired and frazzled, but hey, I survived! As weird and unnatural as it is to teach choir through a computer, I did actually enjoy it much more than I expected. I think just seeing my students again made me happy.
I am certainly looking forward to the long Labor Day weekend and getting some fall decorating started!
“Throwback Thursday”
This week’s seasonal “throwback Thursday” will give hopefully give you “all the fall feels” with inspiration from my front and back porches in 2018.
Now it’s time for some beautiful features from last week’s party!
