Hello and welcome back to another week of Thursday Favorite Things! I hope everyone had a beautiful and lovely Valentine’s day!
I am blessed to be joining Katherine at Katherine’s Corner and a wonderful group of bloggers as a co-hostess for this fantastic weekly blog party. If you are looking to grow your blog, make new friends, and be inspired each week, this is the place to be. If you would like a chance to be featured, please leave me a comment with the number of your link up. I am looking forward to seeing what you have to share this week! Before we start the party, here’s what I have been up to recently:
Yesterday I shared some Bible verses all about love in my post: Finding The Meaning Of True Love On Valentine’s Day.
It has been a wonderful week full of lovely ideas in blog land with all of the gorgeous Valentine’s Day posts and spring decor inspiration being shared! With spring just around the corner I have been busy compiling ideas and pinning inspiration for several home improvement projects coming up in the next few months. As always I am looking for ways to add more historic charm and character to our home. With that in mind, I shared some ideas for adding historic charm and character to any home, regardless of it’s age or style.
With a bit of a dining room “refresh” on the agenda, I also shared a post full of traditional dining room inspiration. After linking up today, be sure to check out this post full of truly stunning dining rooms that are totally pinworthy!
I hope everyone had a beautiful and lovely Valentine’s day! Now it’s time for some truly lovely features from last week’s party. Here are my picks!
Thursday Favorite Things Features
Sheila at Maison De Cinc shared her simple Valentine’s Day ideas decorating with flowers. Many of her beautiful floral displays would be gorgeous year round!
Karianne at Thistlewood Farms showed us some of her favorite yard sale finds that she has used to decorate her swoonworthy kitchen! I wanna go junkin’ with Karianne!
Jamie at So Much Better With Age gave us some very useful tips for deciding whether or not to makeover antiques. Isn’t that cabinet amazing?
Lora, Lora Bloomquist shared an informative post all about vintage feed sacks, flour sacks, and grain sacks. It’s always fun to learn new things about old things!
Thank you to everyone who linked up last week!

You are welcome Jamie! I look forward to your inspiring posts every week at TFT! Here is my spring home tour, I would love for you to take a look! I used your tips for refinishing antique furniture to makeover my church pew, I was hoping to get the look you shared in your post about that beautiful armoire. My husband sanded the orangey wood off the pew, then we had to use stripper in a few areas. After that wiped it down with bleach and let that sit in. Finally I finished with white wax. It turned out great. Thanks for the tips!
