Season’s Greetings dear readers! Welcome back to Thursday Favorite Things! I am so happy to be joining Katherine at Katherine’s Corner and a wonderful group of blogging friends as a co-hostess for this fantastic weekly link party for bloggers and blog readers too! If you are looking to grow your blog, make new friends, and be inspired each week, this is the place to be. *Bloggers: If you would like a chance to be featured, please leave me a comment with the number of your link up. We can’t wait to see what you have to share this week! (If you missed last week’s party you can find it here To get the party started, let’s take a look at what I have been up to recently:
The Holly and the Ivy Christmas Swag
On Monday I kicked off a busy and exciting week of home tours and blog hops by hosting the Christmas Porches and Holiday Door Decor Blog Hop. I shared my last minute Christmas swag which was inspired by the old nineteenth century Christmas Carol, The Holly and The Ivy. I used fresh and free cuttings from the holly bushes and ivy growing around our front porch. This was such a fun blog hop with so many wonderful ideas for decorating your porch for the holidays or winter!
On Tuesday I joined Kendra at Joy In Our Home for the Christmas Festival Blog Hop. Twenty-Five bloggers are participating and there is a different theme each day of the week. Tuesday’s theme was porches, so I shared more of my porch and a round up of Easy Porch Decor ideas.
Delicious Gluten Free Vegan Gingerbread Cookies
This week I did something I thought I would never do again…bake delicious gingerbread cookeis! It has been eight years since I was diagnosed with food allergies and I also avoid refined sugar, so I gave up on making cookies years ago! When I was asked to join the Eight Christmas Cookies To Jingle Your Bells” blog hop I decided I was up for the challenge, and I found a wonderful recipe for gluten free and vegan gingerbread cookies. I used coconut sugar and molasses in place of brown sugar. Even if you don’t have food allergies I highly recommend this recipe YUM!
Christmas Tour Of Homes: A Warm Holiday Welcome
On Wednesday I offered a warm holiday welcome to readers as I shared a first look at this year’s French Country Christmas decor in the music room and some preview pictures of some of the other rooms I will be sharing in upcoming Christmas home tours. I am loving the green, gold and ivory theme I have chosen this year. I think it may be my favorite Christmas decor ever! I would love for you to take a look after partying at TFT today!
Tomorrow I will be joining Marty at A Stroll Thru Life for the Christmas Home Tours with 30 bloggers. I will be sharing more of my simplified and elegant vintage French Country Christmas.
Now it’s time for some inspiring features from the last TFT party!

What glorious inspiration in this post today! I visited your home tour and love love love what you did with that dress form! So unique and whimsical and I am inspired to do something with little form since she hasn’t been dressed for some time. I thought it was a challenge learning to bake without gluten for my husband, but now that our son is vegan – I need help for those holidays when he visits–thanks for sharing! I’m at #112 (a vibrant farmhouse Christmas decor tour) and #114 (a quieter glimpse of the holiday decor in our prior home as well as my winning cookie recipe). Thanks so much for the opportunity to share, and peace to you, friend.
