Hello and welcome to the was 61st All About Home Link Party! It was a dreary and rainy fall weekend here in Kentucky, so I spent most of it inside working on some finishing touches in our kitchen. As of right now it looks like we will be completely finished before Thanksgiving! I had thought we would be finished this month, but we had to take up a section of our brick floor and redo it! Oh well, good things come to those who wait, right? After the rainy weekend, and work, work and more work in the kitchen, I am ready to see all the pretty (and tasty) things at this fun party! I am so glad you are joining me too!
Debra and I are thrilled to be your hosts, especially during FALL! We both love all things autumn! Before moving on with the link up, here’s what we have been up to recently:
How to Create Fabulous Fall Porch Displays
Earlier today I shared a post full of ideas for fabulous fall porch displays. I am swooning over all of the gorgeous fall porches these days!
This weekend it rained and rained, so I wasn’t able to really decorate the front porch with all the “over the top” fall decor in the way I had planned. I ended up just setting out some pumpkins along the ledge with the intention of rearranging them and adding more junk when the weather was nicer. However, the more I looked at the view out my window and up into the beautiful fall forest, the more I loved the simplicity. I decided that with all that is going on with teaching, blogging and the world in general, that this year “less is more” for fall my fall porch!
I have a few more traditional orange pumpkins around the stairs and I still need to place some pretty mums in pots around the porch. I will add my fall plaid pillows to the chairs, and a festive fall wreath to my door. A few panises and mini-pumpkins on plant etagere by the door and maybe a few little fall accessories will finish it off. None of this will require lugging out totes from the garage! This means I might actually be able to sit on my porch and enjoy it instead of spending the next several days in bed from wearing myself out!
Debra shared her beautiful Fall Cottage Front Porch. I love all her gorgeous mums!

Thanks for hosting this week, Amber! After receiving close to 6 inches of rain in the past three days, I haven’t felt like decorating out of doors. Perhaps if decent weather returns…

Amber, sometimes the simplest things work in the most effective ways. I think your porch is perfect, especially in the mood that Delta brought over the weekend. Thank you for hosting the weekly party. I’m always amazed at your energy in enjoying the seasons, no matter how busy you are.
