Here’s What I Have Been Up To:
This past week we were affected here in Eastern KY by the horrible storms and a tornado associated with Hurricane Helene. We did not have power for one day (so thankful) but things were a mess around our neighborhood and town, and I did not have any time to think about decorating or any special projects. I have honestly been so shaken up over world events and following the stories of what is going on particularly in TN and Western NC which seem to be forgotten areas and it breaks my heart. PLEASE look into INDEPENDENT news stories and bloggers who are sharing what is really going on in these areas as it is not being covered by mainstream news. Of course there are other tragic events happening and thing happening all over the country and world that have prompted me to completely stop thinking about the material things in this world and to spend more time in prayer and to prepare my heart and our home for what I feel through the warning of the holy spirit are very rough times ahead.
Let us continue to praise the Lord through the storm, and look upon things of beauty within our homes and nature to find comfort.
Now here are some beautiful features from last week’s party!
Fall Is My Favorite Color ~ Everyday Living
Creating an Autumn Cloche ~ Common Ground
Fall Porch Fun ~ Thrifting Wonderland
Fall Crock Pot Soups~ Filling the Jars
Thanks for visiting! Enjoy the party!

I’m glad your area was minimally effected by Helene and that you all are okay. Because of the devastation, I think it took network tv a bit to realize that NC and Tennessee were so heavily damaged, when most of the damage was expected to happen on the coast. It’s been non-stop the last few days on cable tv. Convoy of Hope, a large emergency relief based organization in our city has been in the NC area for the last few days. Our hearts and prayers and support are with them. Thanks for sharing my cloche post this week. take care.
October 3, 2024 at 8:29 pmI’m sorry about the Hurricane. I’ve been trying to follow the news on the Helene, (New York Times, etc) but the area seems so vast. Can you recommend a particular 1 (or 3) local news stations to look up?

Amber, I am happy that you had minimal damage. I am heartbroken over the loss of lives, homes, businesses. Entire communities and towns were destroyed. It is a most unusual time and we must place our trust in our Heavenly Father.
Thanks so much for hosting and for featuring my Fall Is My Favorite Color Tablescape. I am links 8 and 11
October 4, 2024 at 10:56 pmWhat is happening in Asheville and other areas is horrific. Thank God for independent journalists and Christian organizations who are helping because our media and government is not. I totally get what you are going through, I feel the same way. I’m #143 this week.
