Welcoming July in All-American Style at Thursday Favorite Things

Patriotic decor and Fourth of July ideas by top bloggers

Happy July, and welcome to Thursday Favorite Things! I am thrilled to be joining Katherine at Katherine’s Corner and wonderful group of bloggers for my third year as a co-hostess for this fantastic weekly link party for bloggers and blog readers too!

If you are looking to grow your blog, make new friends, and or simply to be inspired each week, this is the place to be! *Bloggers: If you would like a chance to be featured, please leave a comment with the number of your link up. We can’t wait to see what you have to share this week! (If you missed the last party you can find it here.)???? To get the party started, let’s take a look at what I have been up to recently:

On Saturday we had a yard sale along with our neighbors who were having a moving sale. One thing I always hate about hosting a sale is missing all of the Saturday morning sales, but this time I was able to score a few treasures from my neighbor and make some extra money while getting rid of my own junk so it was the best of both worlds. I ended up scoring this pretty door basket for only $2.00. Using items I already had, I fixed up a farmhouse patriotic door basket just in time for the Fourth of July. Check out my post for all the details.

I also shared my first “reveal” post of my vintage sink potting bench and new cottage landscaping in the back yard. There is just so much to talk about and share with this project that I decided it would be best to do several posts to give you a better look at all the flowers and treasures in more detail, so keep checking back often to see more of this fun new area.

Isn’t it great to get rid of a few things and make a few bucks at the same time!?! Thank you so much for hosting the party and for featuring our Mediterranean Chicken Salad. We love this salad. We aren’t planning much for the Fourth. We are going to have a breakfast in the morning for any of my children that want to come. My sister-in-law is also coming with a friend. Then I actually have to go to work and close – got to love retail! Our links this week are: #142, #143, & #144. Enjoy your Fourth!

Boy am I missing garage sales – not that I need anything else, but the hunt is everything! I’m linking at $148, 149 and 150 and appreciate your hosting this gathering so much. xox

Good for you, picking up that basket. We haven’t didn’t have the yearly garage sale this year. Probably because of the currant situation 🙁

    Thanks for hosting, Amber.
