Here’s what I’ve been up to!

I hope you all had a very merry Christmas! We enjoyed a wonderful Christmas with family. I had all intentions of doing a post and even had planned to vent a little bit about why I wasn’t able to pull off a real Christmas tour, but I ended up hurting my back trying to help my husband move a heavy piece of furniture and was pretty much out of commission as far as doing any last minute decorating, cleaning or photography. I did share a couple of photos on Instagram and a reel if you would like to check it out there.

I was blown away that The Cottage Journal featured my photo from my 2021 Christmas Dining room for their official Christmas Day post! It was such a pleasant surprise, especially since I was a little down about not sharing a big blog tour and still feeling a little overwhelmed with renovations.

My husband worked tirelessly to try to get some new cabinetry installed so I could make it look pretty for Christmas. He actually installed two large counter to ceiling glass door cabinets on Christmas Eve. We still have to add more hardware but I just love them!

I have just spent the last few days using my new tea kettle and sitting on a heating pad by the Christmas tree. I am hoping my back pain lets up before going back to work next week so I can start cleaning up Christmas and transitioning to winter.

I hope you are healing quickly, Amber! I know what it’s like to hurt a back moving something. Almost two years ago, I did it trying to my my refrigerator… The way I did it was just plain stupid! LOL! I’m at 22 and 23 this week. Congrats on the feature with Cottage!

    Amber,
Congratulations on The Cottage Journal Christmas Day feature on Instagram. I saw the IG post and knew before reading it was yours! I was so happy for you. What a special “Christmas present” to you. Your new remodeled old house is looking so good. Your husband is a treasure to work on your cabinet doors on Christmas Eve, but that is another special “Christmas present” for you.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
