Happy October everyone! Fall is here and I am feeling the vibes indoors and out! This year there is so much going on with my son’s senior soccer season, finishing up the shed, and some other very big news I plan to share soon! With a lot on my plate, I decided to keep focus on simple and elegan fall decor this year.
I started in the dining room by cozying up the antique church pew with my favorite rust-colored floral Pottery Barn pillow covers and a little “Hello Fall” lumbar pillow.
I only pulled a few favorite faux pumpkins out of the fall totes, including all of my velvet pumpkins and white faux lumpy pumpkins.
The farm table looks simply beautiful with a single lumpy fairy tale pumpkin in the center. This pumpkin always fools visitors because it looks so real.
The colors in the area rug under the farm table always look best in the fall. I also love using rustic and natural elements for fall, like the antlers in the huge dough bowl under the chruch pew and dried bittersweet vine in large green demi-john in the corner.
Decorating with bittersweet vine, vintage treasures and velvet pumpkins is always my go-to fall formula for the vintage chest.
This year I “tucked in fall” around my vintage ladies Art Deco lamp with just a few fall colored vintage books, faux off-white pumpkin, realistic dried ivory roses, some tiny velvet pumpkins, and pheasant feathers to add fall vibes to the top of the chest. I also changed out the vintage frames for fall.
This vignette with bittersweet and vintage treasures from a couple of years back is another favorite of mine.

A new-to-me 1920’s vintage book has perfect Ocotober colors and fits right in with the era and style of the lamp.
This vignette with bittersweet and vintage treasures from a couple of years back is another favorite of mine.

Later this week I will share the simple and elegant touches I added to the living room, including this pretty French Farmhouse styled tray.
I really had hoped to share a full fall home tour for the Bloggers’ Best Home Tours last week, but I decided to go easy on myself and live in the moment to enjoy all that is going on with my son’s senior year and ease into fall as it comes.
I do plan to share a late fall home tour in early November, since November is my favorite month!
How is your fall decor coming along? I love hearing from you! Thanks for visiting today!

I love how you layered in so many antique and vintage items. Most notably those old picture frames. Everything looks beautiful!
October 3, 2022 at 8:07 pmThat photo of y’all is a keeper! Love it! Glad you’re cherishing his senior year and are feeling good. Your dining room looks amazing. Every time I see your pew with it’s beautiful pillows it makes me sigh in delight. All of your colors are so warm and cozy and the details are fun. Like the little wreath under the pumpkin on the stack of books. I really need to get more into the details like you. You’re such a beautiful inspiration. Inside and out! Happy Fall!
October 5, 2022 at 12:37 pmWhat a sweet family photo Amber. It brings back great memories of my daughter’s senior year playing soccer at Xavier. I’m loving your dining room inspiration. The first place I always want to look for is the top of the vintage chest. It’s always a show stopper!

October 12, 2022 at 2:37 pmLove your wonderful photo, and good for you to take the time to enjoy your family and your son’s special memories. That far outweighs any other opportunity, because he will always remember you were there. Have a wonderful week, my friend.
