Hello dear friends! This is the first post in my new “Pin Away Wednesday” series! Are you a Pinterest addict too? Recently Follow The Yellow Brick Home reached 1.5 monthly viewers on Pinterest! Since I spend so much time pinning I thought I would begin a new series on the blog where I share weekly highlights of my Pinterest boards and more of the beautiful inspiration I am finding there.
Thank you to my Pinterest followers!!!!
To begin the series, I decided to start off with an introduction of my very first Pinterest board: Vintage Love, Flea Market Style and Antiques!
Vintage Love, Flea Market Style and Antiques
This board reflects my love affair with vintage junk, nostalgia, and antiques. Here is where I find inspiration for giving my cozy cottage its unique style through the use of vintage pieces, antiques and second hand treasures. Influences include Flea Market Style, French Country, Romantic Prairie Style, Farmhouse, Nordic/European, Victorian, Shabby Chic and whatever catches my eye and speaks to my heart!
Over 8 years ago I joined Pinterest and this was my very first board! As of right now it includes over 1400 pins (many need to be re-categorized). It is full of beautiful images of all things vintage from all time periods and varying styles.
Since then I have started other boards which are for specific categories of antiques such as dishes, lighting, dolls, antique books, furniture, etc., but this board is really a great overview of the kinds of vintage things that make my heart sing.
As I was picking some photos to highlight from this board, I did notice that the majority of my early pins in this board would now be better categorized within my Brocante or All Things French board. I have always been drawn to the French flea market vibe with lots of romantic touches.

My love of an electic mix of vintage items displayed in flea market style is evidenced by the pins I have added to this board.
There are multiple swoonworthy pins of collections of tins, vintage dishes, ironstone and transferware.

Photos of vintage knick-knacks, “smalls” and “littles” are also included.
There are many photos of vignettes featuring old photographs, tattered books, vintage clocks, mirrors, suitcases, oil paintings, tarnished silverplate and antique trophies.
Some of my favorite pins on this board are rooms full of yummy vintage collections, found objects and chippy-shabby furnishings.
I have enjoyed taking a look back over my first board and sharing some of these beautiful pins with you today. If you enjoy vintage style I would encourage you to head straight over to Pinterest and follow along as I pin lots of awesome pins daily. Next Wednesday I will be sharing another Pinterest board overview here on the blog so be sure to stop back by to see some more “Pinspiration.” What are you pinning these days? I love hearing from you, dear readers!
Thanks for visiting today!
