“Tweet-Tweet!” (It’s spring!) Last week I got together with nine other decorating friends for the Hop Into Spring Blog Hop to share our homes all decorated for spring. As I was visiting all the tours on the hop I noticed all the different and creative ways that birds and bird themes were used. Today I am sharing a highlights post to show how we all “feathered our nests” with birds, eggs, and nests for the season.
I always love using birds and nests for spring and summer decorating. This year I created a bird vignette inside my dough bowl. I used a chippy bird candle holder topped by a cloche full of little eggs, and a mossy nest filled with eggs and a sweet vintage bird brooch.
Stacey styled her table with a beautiful, shabby chic bird house and a pretty pastel nest of bittersweet vine and blue and green speckled eggs.
Debra decorated an old, chippy door with an antique mirror adorned with a mossy grapevine- forsythia swag and mossy bird’s nest. A vintage bird image is one of a trio of three precious spring postcards.
Laura made some changes to her bedroom for spring and I just love the addition of this sweet embroidery bird pillow.
Angelina added two pretty nests filled with hyacinth and tulip bulbs to each end of her kitchen island Easter display.
Michelle incorporated birds and nests all throughout her home. I love her use of bird themed printables and handmade tags in vignettes.
Linda topped an old white picnic basket with a vintage robin figurine and a mossy nest filled with robin’s egg blue eggs.
Laura designed a fabulous “His Eye Is On The Sparrow ” themed sheet music piano display with a farmhouse sign, bird nests and spring birds.
Pamela shared a beautiful spring tablescape with a bird house and pretty concrete bird as part of her centerpiece. Sweet little nests can be found at each individual place setting.
Sarah placed a few little bird nests and eggs here and there to add uncomplicated spring touches to her signature simply chic cottage style.
