Welcome to Thursday Favorite Things! I am so happy to be joining Katherine at Katherine’s Corner and a wonderful group of blogging friends as a co-hostess for this fantastic weekly link party for bloggers and blog readers too! If you are looking to grow your blog, make new friends, and be inspired each week, this is the place to be. *Bloggers: If you would like a chance to be featured, please leave me a comment with the number of your link up. We can’t wait to see what you have to share this week! (If you missed last week’s party you can find it here.???? To get the party started, let’s take a look at what I have been up to recently:
This past week I continued to take it easy around the house and was careful not to push myself with blogging as my wrists are still healing up. I did spent quite a bit of time in the garden early in the mornings when the weather was still cool, pruning straggly late summer annuals and helping my tomato plants and veggies to recover from the heat wave from the week we were on vacation. So far everything is bouncing back beautifully and we have been enjoying lots of ripe cherry tomatoes and basil this week.
Gardening tip: Frequently pinch off basil leaves directly under the second set of leaves for bushy plants that keep producing all summer long. Never let basil flower! Pinch, pinch, pinch, and munch, munch, munch!
Tips For Choosing The Right Paint Colors For Your Home
I have been considering repainting our bedrooms and bathrooms this fall, so I have been exploring different paint color options. If you have struggled with choosing paint, take a look at my recent post for some easy tips.

You are welcome! Thanks for faithfully partying with us!
August 1, 2019 at 9:29 amThank you so much for featuring my summer mantel this week. I’m glad that your wrists are healing. Not being able to use your wrists pretty much stops all activity.
August 1, 2019 at 9:25 amThank you Paula! You are so right! It has been a real struggle for about a month now. The pain is mostly gone unless I use them too much, then it flares back up again. I guess it will just take time for them to completely heal.
Love love love your summer mantel! Thanks for sharing!
August 1, 2019 at 9:28 amthanks so much for sharing my seashell vignette, and thanks for having us over to party each week!
August 1, 2019 at 10:35 amGlad those wrists are healing, and I plan to plant more herbs today and will keep that basil pruning tip in mind. (Having a tough time keeping lavender happy here, btw.) Beautiful and elegant glimpses in those features, Amber. Thanks so much for hosting the shindig and ushering in so much fresh inspiration. I’m sharing glimpses of our French farmhouse courtyard today at #62 and dreaming of a little bistro set to add there since there is now space after losing a 10′ shrub to the rains! Hope you find little pockets of peace this week just for you and your beautiful soul to rest. xox
August 1, 2019 at 10:35 amYou are always the perfect hostess Amber! Thanks so much for sharing the DIY slipcover post of mine. Have a lovely weekend. Hugs!
August 1, 2019 at 11:03 amThank you Amber! So glad you are healing, I can only imagine how frustrating that must be, take care!
August 1, 2019 at 11:55 amThank you for featuring my rose petal jar tutorial! I’m glad to hear that you’re feeling better and taking time to heal. I can relate that it’s hard to rest when you want to be working on blog stuff. I appreciated the tip about caring for basil…I didn’t know that we shouldn’t let it flower. I’ll be pinching from now on! Have a great week!
