Happy September, and welcome to Thursday Favorite Things! I am thrilled to be joining Katherine at Katherine’s Corner and wonderful group of bloggers for my third year as a co-hostess for this fantastic weekly link party for bloggers and blog readers too!
If you are looking to grow your blog, make new friends, and or simply to be inspired each week, this is the place to be! *Bloggers: If you would like a chance to be featured, please leave a comment with the number of your link up. We can’t wait to see what you have to share this week! (If you missed the last party you can find it here.) To get the party started, let’s take a look at what I have been up to recently:
Our Labor Day weekend was spent in the kitchen working away on the renovation. My brother has jumped in to help us and now things are really starting to move along. Over the weekend he removed the old cheap backsplash, installed backer board and started installed the new tile. He and my husband also installed our new countertops and I love how everything is looking!
Yesterday my husband finished grouting the area behind the stove and our new stove is now in place. Here is a sneak peek of the tile and countertop. More about these details and the kitchen makeover coming up on the blog this weekend!
In between working on the kitchen and teaching online, I did manage to put together a pretty vintage vignette to welcome September. I will be sharing more about this beautiful vintage September picture and few other thrifted treasures on the blog tomorrow.
For this week’s Pin Away Wednesday’s post I updated last year’s round-up of fall wreath ideas to include some new favorites from Pinterest. I can’t wait to decorate our doors with beautiful fall wreaths!
All of the lawn and garden centers in our area finally have some beautiful fall plants in stock. I am looking forward to planting up some beautiful fall containers and urns once the weather cools down a bit. Earlier this week I shared a post of 15 Fantastic Fall Urn Ideas that I simply adore.
“Throwback Thursday”
For Throwback Thursday I am sharing my post full of ideas for Creative Fall Decorating with Baskets. This post was shared as part of a fall baskets themed blog hop that I hosted in 2018. At the end of my post you will find links to several other talented bloggers’ posts full of the most gorgeous fall basket inspiration!

September 10, 2020 at 10:56 amHi Amber, looks like your kitchen’s coming along (none too fast, right??). I remember fondly the basket blog hop from 2018 (gosh, time does fly, even in a pandemic). I’m crushing on the naturals of Cindy’s grapevine and citrus wreath (Pinned!). Thank you, Amber. for co-hosting TFT with your fine flair. I’m #134 this week with a vintage fall tablescape.

September 10, 2020 at 9:37 pmHappy almost fall to you, Amber! Thank you for co-hosting the party, as always. 🙂 I’ve linked up two posts today, one with Katherine (#173) and 10 Fall Decorating Ideas for Under $10 (#174).
Hope your classes are going well and that the system isn’t glitching too much. Our teachers lost their classes again but IT was able to tell them how to recover them… The saga is REAL! Much better day today, btw. 🙂 Student who was really upset yesterday was happy and worked for a FaceTime with our lead teacher who took time off for family leave. <3
Happy fall decorating and I'll stop by and see your post for tomorrow. Looking for some fall plants myself this weekend. We had a wonderful crisp 50 degree morning today… Such a relief!!!
