Hello friends! Can you believe we are already halfway through August? Fall is rapidly approaching and it’s time to start gathering ideas for all the fun fall decorating! Today I am sharing some easy ways to add cozy fall style to the living room. *This post contains affiliate links.
Living rooms are so easy to decorate for fall with the addition of some fall accessories. Start by simply adding a few seasonal pillows in fall colors or even some playful pumpkin pillows.
As autumn approaches we begin to see yellow and gold appear in the landscape. Ease into fall by using yellow as a transitional color in throw pillows, blankets and floral arrangements. Velvet is the on trend textile for fall.

Embrace all the beautiful and bright colors of fall as the season progresses. Gold bold with pillows, drapes and stylish accessories in the living room. Adding blue to the traditional fall pallete is a great way to keep the living room looking fresh and updated. If you normally have neutral curtains, fall can be a great time to temporarily switch them out for some beautiful new ones with fall colors. You can even create your own curtain rods using rustic wood or branches for a more woodsy fall look.

Using signs and words in decor is still all the rage! Add a touch of cozy, fall farmhouse charm to the living room with a seasonal word sign or two with your favourite words or fall phrases.
Last but not least, don’t forget to add some cozy throws and blankets to your living room. Plaid is always a good idea!

I’m loving your late summer and early fall transitioning posts, Amber!!! Thank you for sharing them as it has given me inspiration to work on my own decor. Last night I was cleaning and changing out the little flower garland on my chandelier from pink to white flowers. Looking up this morning, I realize the flowers have touches of yellow inside! Will have to cue off that, though I’m thinking of full orange pumpkins this year, for a change. 🙂
Have a great weekend,
