Early Summer Gardens, Decor and DIYs at Thursday Favorite Things

Happy June and welcome to Thursday Favorite Things! I am thrilled to be joining Katherine at Katherine’s Corner and wonderful group of bloggers for my third year as a co-hostess for this fantastic weekly link party for bloggers and blog readers too!

If you are looking to grow your blog, make new friends, and or simply to be inspired each week, this is the place to be! *Bloggers: If you would like a chance to be featured, please leave a comment with the number of your link up. We can’t wait to see what you have to share this week! (If you missed the last party you can find it here.)???? To get the party started, let’s take a look at what I have been up to recently:

I have been so busy in my garden and I have enjoyed creating my first bouquets using my early summer blooms! For this week’s Pin Away Wednesdays post I shared some beautiful ideas from Pinterest for creating Flower Arramengements, Bouquets and Gatherings.

Here is my first summer bouquet, and it just makes me so happy! Best of all, it was free from my own garden! I will be sharing more photos of my flowers on my summer home tour coming up tomorrow!

After many years of trial and error I have discovered that deadheading and routine garden maintenance is the key to a beautiful garden. I am happy with how the backyard is looking, but I may get in touch with a landscape company  to get some design help for our tricky front yard which is partial shade. We shall see how things progress!

Beautiful ideas for summer nights landscaping lighting malibu lights, solar lights, torches, lanterns

On Friday I joined a few friends for a fun mini-blog hop hosted by my friend Cecilia of  My Thrift Store Addiction.  The theme was “summer nights” and it was really unique and inspiring! Check out my post to see how I use lanterns, torches and solar lights to brighten up our summer nights around our home and garden.

You can find links to each of the other posts on the hop at the end of my post. They are full of fun ideas for summer nights!

I am super busy getting ready for the Summer Home Tours featuring 30 bloggers, hosted by friend Marty of A Stroll Through Life. I will be sharing my Summer Home and Garden Tour on Friday, so please do plan to stop by for another visit. The tours started today, so after partying here today you can head over to Marty’s blog to get started on the tours which are all full of beautiful summer ideas!
