Season’s Greetings dear readers! Welcome back to Thursday Favorite Things! I am so happy to be joining Katherine at Katherine’s Corner and a wonderful group of blogging friends as a co-hostess for this fantastic weekly link party for bloggers and blog readers too! If you are looking to grow your blog, make new friends, and be inspired each week, this is the place to be. *Bloggers: If you would like a chance to be featured, please leave me a comment with the number of your link up. We can’t wait to see what you have to share this week! (If you missed last week’s party you can find it here To get the party started, let’s take a look at what I have been up to recently:
It’s Simply Christmas! Embracing The Beauty of Simple and Elegant Old World Christmas Style
Last Friday I joined Marty of A Stroll Thru Life and 28 other bloggers for the Christmas Home Tours 2018. This year I focused on a simpler, old world style Christmas using my most favorite vintage Christmas treasures and French country style Christmas decor. I also have enjoyed incorporating more dark green and gold for the season along with some pops of traditional red.
Finding Space For More Vintage French Christmas Decor
On Monday I joined Angelina of Petite Haus for the “It’s A Wonderful House” Christmas Home Tours. I was excited to share how I decorated our small landing at the top of the staircase in vintage French Christmas style. I have never decorated this spot before so it was really fun to style up a new space for the holidays. You can find links to 11 other Christmas tours at the end of my post.
On Tuesday I shared my Charming DIY Victorian Style Christmas Ornaments for The Thrifty Chicks December ornament challenge. These pretty ornaments are so inexpensive and easy to make.
Yesterday I joined Chloe of Celebrate and Decorate for the Christmas Tablescape tours. Even though my main color theme for this year is green, gold, and ivory, I enjoyed creating A Traditional and Festive Christmas Tablescape using red, green, gold, and ivory and plaid. I also really love the aromatic cloved “cuties” I used in the centerpiece. There are 25 beautiful and creative tablescapes to check out if you are looking for ideas for setting a table for Christmas dinner.
I am honored to be collaborating with Balsam Hill by sharing their gorgeous new Wintry Woods garland with my readers. I am using the garland on my staircase and I just love it. It looks so realistic and it is truly well made. I am looking forward to using this garland for years to come.
This evening at 5:00 p.m. EST the Jord Watch Giveaway goes live here on the blog! You can enter to win $100 off a beautiful handcrafted Jord watch of your choice. Good luck!
I am excited to be hosting A Merry Musical Blog Hop tomorrow! For this hop several blogging friends and I will be sharing how we incorporate music themes and musical celebrations into our decor and holiday traditions. If you are looking for unique Christmas inspiration, be sure to join us!
