Happy New Year and welcome back to Thursday Favorite Things! I am so happy to be joining Katherine at Katherine’s Corner and a wonderful group of blogging friends as a co-hostess for this fantastic weekly link party for bloggers and blog readers too! If you are looking to grow your blog, make new friends, and be inspired each week, this is the place to be. *Bloggers: If you would like a chance to be featured, please leave me a comment with the number of your link up. We can’t wait to see what you have to share this week! (If you missed last week’s party you can find it here To get the party started, let’s take a look at what I have been up to recently:
All this week I have been busy packing away the Christmas decorations and transitioning our home for winter with cozy, neutral winter decor. In between all the work and cleaning I took a brief break this weekend to do a little junkin’. I got super lucky and scored my first finds of 2019—two antique English advertising ironstone pieces!
Since I was so excited about my rare finds, I was inspired to do a post all about Antique English and French Advertising Ironstone. Check out the post for more info about this type of antique pottery and some truly beautiful photos of collections and displays!
DIY Woodworking Projects for Beginners
With the new year comes resolutions, goals, wish lists, to-do lists, and DIY’s to try. One of my goals for 2019 is to learn some very basic woodworking skills. With that in mind I created a round up of simple furniture and garden DIY’s that I found interesting and non-intimidating. Actually some of the DIY’s don’t even require woodworking skills (you only need a little creativity!)
The Christmas Tour Of Homes Link Party has been extended!
As always, Christmas came and went way too fast! With so many gorgeous Christmas home tours out there in blog land, I decided to extend the The Christmas Homes Tours Link Party through January 20th. If you are a blogger you are welcome to link up any of your Christmas home tour posts. Blog readers are also welcome to come and check out all of the inspiration. Now that the rush of the holidays is over, there is a little more time to relax with a hot cuppa coffee or tea and enjoy all the beautiful tours while pinning away ideas for next year. Hope to see you at the party!
Now it’s time to check out some inspiring features from the last TFT party!

January 10, 2019 at 10:01 amEnglish ironstone – now THAT is music to my ears – I hope you’ll keep posting more inspiring images of those crocks and jars I love so much! Merci beaucoup for making me feel so fancy in this post celebrating beautiful interiors. I’m honored, and it will never get old to feel seen and shared. I’m happily partying with you inspiring ladies in #67 and #68 as I begin tidying up for the new year and listing the ingredients for my take on French Nordic Coastal Cottage style (my take is decidedly spare, serene, and undone though!). Peace to you, Amber as we begin a new year of blogging friendship and decor inspiration!
