A Bright and Beautiful August Welcome at Thursday Favorite Things

Summer flowers sunflowers

Happy AUGUST, and welcome to Thursday Favorite Things! I am thrilled to be joining Katherine at Katherine’s Corner and wonderful group of bloggers for my third year as a co-hostess for this fantastic weekly link party for bloggers and blog readers too!

If you are looking to grow your blog, make new friends, and or simply to be inspired each week, this is the place to be! *Bloggers: If you would like a chance to be featured, please leave a comment with the number of your link up. We can’t wait to see what you have to share this week! (If you missed the last party you can find it here.)???? To get the party started, let’s take a look at what I have been up to recently:

As most of you know, we are in the middle of a kitchen renovation. Right now we are sort of at a stand still as we wait on our new countertops to be delivered. The brick floor is almost finished at least! Anyone who has done renovations knows that sometimes you get these frustrating gaps in getting things done because you have to wait on delivery or construction of some kind.

Kitchen Island Inspiration: Euro-Inspired Farmhouse Work Tables and Pastry Tables

This week I turned my focus toward finalizing plans for the kitchen island. Here is a post I recently shared full of the dreamy euro-inspired kitchen islands like the one I am hoping to have.

“Throwback Thursday”

Late Summer Garden Treasures

Each week I am going to include a seasonal “throwback Thursday” post for fun. Today’s throwback is my late summer garden treasures post that I shared exactly one year ago today in case you missed it. Don’t those little tomatoes look yummy?

I ended last month by hosting a “Christmas in July” link party! Thank you to everyone who linked up or came over and visited. I also shared a round up of Simple, Elegant and Chic Coastal Christmas Decor.  I had been wanting to share a late summer coastal decor post of some kind, so I decided to just add in a little Christmas magic.

I’m not usually a fan of the china-plates-hung-on-a-wall look, but I have to admit I liked the pewter platter above the sink in one of your kitchen inspiration photos. Thanks for hosting — I’ve linked at #62.
