Simple Summer Decor and More at Thursday Favorite Things

Creative Ideas and DIY's and Home Decor Ideas

Happy JULY and welcome to Thursday Favorite Things! I am thrilled to celebrate my fourth year co-hosting this fabulous weekly link party for bloggers and blog readers with Katherine of Katherine’s Corner and a fantastic group of bloggers!

If you would like to make some new friends,  grow your blog audience, or just find some weekly inspiration, this is the place to be! *Bloggers: Please leave a comment with the number of your link up for a chance to be featured at next week’s party. The hosts are all looking forward to what you’ll share this week! (If you missed the last party and the AWESOME features, you’ll find it here.)  To get the party started, here’s what I have been up to:

On July 4th  I shared a quick Vintage Primitive Fourth of July Vignette, “Sing a Song for 7-4-1776” on Instagram in between all the busy-ness with building the potting shed. I love the primitive Uncle Sam I found last year and the little American Singer book I just scored last week at a fabulous new antique mall not far from my house.

I haven’t been on my computer much to put together a new post this week because we are building a potting shed! I am not doing any actual “building” but, I am head contractor on the job barking out orders! Seriously, I am just happy that my husband is building a potting shed and I will be happy with anything he comes up with. S0 far he is doing an amazing job!

Gorgeous Coastal Style Decor Nautical Themed Decoratiing

Easy Breezy Coastal Cottage Style

Next week we will be headed to the NC coast (our home away from home!) for vacation! Now that the Fourth of July is over I am adding a few coastal cottage touches in with my everyday cottage garden style. Here’s a throwback post of beautiful coastal cottage idecor I love. There are some elegant and subtle ways to add nautical nods to summer without going overboard (no pun inteneded!)

Now here are some beautiful features from last week’s party!

Amber, I can’t wait to see your potting shed finished, but even more how you plan to use it in decorating. Like everything else you do, I feel certain it’ll be amazing. Your little primitive Uncle Sam is just way too cute from last week.
Thank you for featuring my purse collection this week. My purses thank you too (they say, “finally, it’s about time!”).
