Welcome back everyone! It’s a rainy Sunday and I am relaxing with some hot tea and just doing some interior design dreaming. I am in one of those phases where my interior decorating style is starting to evolve, “grow up,” or become more refined, although it is not necessarily changing. Everyone has a different sense of style, but mine has never fit neatly into one category, unless “Vintage” can be called an overall design style. After 25 years as a home owner, I still always swoon for romantic cottage and shabby chic rooms with French influence, even if I don’t go overboard with that look in my home today.
I have found that anytime I do a round up of ideas, I always end up leaning toward French Country Farmhouse as the dominant style. For a little experiment on defining my style, I decided to pick some loveseats to see which ones appealed to me most. As you look over these choices, see which ones are your favorites too.
10 Lovely Loveseats
This settee by Plumgoose.com would definitely be a top pick.
Although a little more “fancy”, it would be hard able to pass up this beauty at a yard sale or flea market if it was in good condition and the price was right!
Ornate details on Victorian and Edwardian furniture have always made me sigh…
A little less ornate, but still leaning toward French Country.
I am loving the simplicity of this vintage farmhouse style settee.
With this pick I started to think how much I love simple classic cottage and farmhouse style. This loveseat would be a great choice for modern farmhouse style homestoo.
I also have considered bringing the outdoors in with a wicker loveseat, topped with lots of beautiful cushions and pillows and rotated seasonally, inspired by my friend Debra at Common Ground.
Currently I’ve got a secret growing crush on minimalist vintage Boho style, (Minimalist? Me?) and it’s no secret at all that I am big time crushin’ on happy yellow decor right now! It would be hard to pass up this fun piece if the price was right! When it comes to interior decorating my motto is, if it makes you happy, then that is what you should go for!
I love this bonnie plaid modern country loveseat. After all, I’m a wee bit Scottish!
Then again can you really go wrong with a classic leather tufted chesterfield loveseat? I think not!
Well there you have 10 lovely loveseats that I have chosen as an experiment in defining my style. Did it help? Well, maybe not entirely, but in the end I always just follow my heart and choose to live with the things I love and my style is just my own.
How do you define your individual style, and which loveseat was your favorite from this round-up? I love discussing decorating style with you!

well surprise! I really miss my little sunporch so I could go all out with pillows and accessories. I really love a small sofa or loveseat. Perfect for just one to be comfortable on and get cozy. You have some great inspiration, I want one of each!
