Simple and Beautiful Home and Garden Inspiration at Thursday Favorite Things

Happy AUGUST, and welcome to Thursday Favorite Things! I am thrilled to be joining Katherine at Katherine’s Corner and wonderful group of bloggers for my third year as a co-hostess for this fantastic weekly link party for bloggers and blog readers too!

If you are looking to grow your blog, make new friends, and or simply to be inspired each week, this is the place to be! *Bloggers: If you would like a chance to be featured, please leave a comment with the number of your link up. We can’t wait to see what you have to share this week! (If you missed the last party you can find it here.)???? To get the party started, let’s take a look at what I have been up to recently:

The Simple and Beautiful Things That Helped Me Survive My First Week Back-to-Teaching (During a Pandemic!)

This week I was so busy, and so mentally and physically exhausted that I didn’t have much time to spend enjoying things that are all about home. I did manage to stay sane by taking pleasure in some simple and beautiful things that helped me relax and brought me joy despite everything that is going on in the education world. On Sunday I shared a heartfelt post about those particular things, teaching choir virtually, and a Christian perspective on how I am approaching all of the new challenges I face as an educator.

These beautiful roses were a surprise from my husband to cheer me up after seeing how rough the first few days  back to work were. He was experiencing some of my same feelings since he is an assistant principal and there is so much he must do differently now too.

I found this little green vase on a quick junkin’ therapy excursion after school on Friday. It is the perfect vase for my sweet roses!

“Throwback Thursday”

This week’s seasonal “throwback Thursday” post at TFT is my Harvest Fruits Early Fall Tablescape from 2018. Apples and pears are a great alternative to pumpkins if you are wanting to ease into fall.

Thanks so much Amber, I love the floral wall art, what a pretty idea! My links are #24, 25, 28. I admire your teaching abilities, I can’t imagine the challenge it must be, but I know the parents and students are so grateful for you!

Amber, thanks for the bonus feature! Even in the midst of renovating, teaching, parenting, gardening, there’s still time for antiquing and thrifting, right?? Sometimes it’s the perfect balm to otherwise crazy surrounding goings on. 🙂

Thanks for the party and hang in there Amber. It’s tough all around. I am coming from the parent perspective, having my high schooler at home and just found out yesterday my son will start college remotely as well. I totally appreciate what the teachers are doing, it can’t be easy. Sending you good {{{vibes}}}. Before I forget I’m #s 132, 133 & 134.
