Fabulous Fall Decorating, Interior Decor and Styling

    Early Fall Styled Tray

Hello friends and happy “almost fall!” We are settled into our new house, although we didn’t get everything finished before moving in. There’s still so much work left on the kitchen, sun room, dining room and master bath, but the living room is almost completely finished with the exceptions of some decorative items and  kitchen is useable and coming together.

There are still too many messes of power tools and building supplies everywhere to take really great room pics, but I thought I would share a simple early fall styled baket tray in the corner of our kitchen.

Our new home is sooo sunny and bright, with a warm gold tint most of the day. I have been very influenced by rust colors, caramel, buttery yellow and gold as I have been decorating.  I loved these gold faux branches I found at Joann which sort of inspired this simple fall corner tray. I already had the mustard gold yellow velvet pumpkin

In the living room I am using a yellow velvet pumpkin pillow that I haven’t used for a few years, so it feels fresh and new in this new space and on the new chair.

The rest of the basket has some kitchen items that may stay out most of the time, including some of my favorite herb books, wicker covered demi-johns and my favorite large green demi-john. Of course there is ironstone and transfeware.

We havent’e decided on a backsplash yet which is one of the main hold ups in the kitchen. For now I am adding interest with some pretty trays, like this recently thrifted tole tray in the color palate I am loving right now.

On the opposite side of the counter I have stacked some of the blue transferware dishes that will be on display in glass front cabinets that we hope to finish up before Thanksgiving at least. For now I am enjoying the bright blue just on the counter, especially with a green apple for early fall.

The living room is mostly ready for fall and a reveal. I am just waiting on some curtains and trying to make a decision on a new mantel mirror. I will be participating in the fall home tours next Friday and I plan to do a living room tour then!

How is your fall decorating coming along? I love hearing from you!

    Thanks for visiting today!

Well friends, this week has been all about getting my son ready for college! We are leaving for NEW YORK this evening!!!!!!!! I am excited, stressed, happy and heartbroken all at the same time. We will be 11 hours apart! I can sure you all understand why I did not share a new blog again this week or any updates on the new house. I promise, they are coming. Debra and all my other dear friends and readers, I have NOT forgotten you. I will catch up more soon. Please send prayers over us as we travel 6 hours this evening and the remaining 5 in the morning, and as I leave my freshman at culinary school on Friday evening to “cook up” some amazing memories and start his future!
