Our house is still decorated for Christmas, as I have always felt that the holidays aren’t really over until after New Year’s Day. I don’t decorate with a lot of specific New Year’s Decor, but I always create a vignette or two to commemorate the occasion. It’s the “fourth day of Christmas,” with four calling birds as the theme. This evening I just noticed that the little resin bird statue on the shabby secretary by our front door has four birds perched on a log…perfect for sharing at tonight’s party! I am so glad you are here to celebrate too…let the holidays continue!
Merry day after Christmas! Here in Kentucky we have enjoyed the most glorious surprise White Christmas, with picture perfect snowy views around our home and garden. We didn’t get the notification that a big snow was on the way until Dec. 23rd, so it was quite unexpected (especially when it was 63 degrees that day!) It has been over a decade since we have had a real white Christmas, so it truly made our holiday extra special!
