Hello friends and welcome to the 99th All About Home Link Party! I hope you all have had a wonderful Fourth of July Holiday Weekend! I love patriotic decor and celebrations! We spent a “quiet” (if you can call the Fourth of July quiet!) evening at home with our annual “big time” fireworks show for the neighborhood kids. We always let off a few small fireworks and wave sparklers to traditional patriotic marching band music by John Phillip Sousa blaring in the background on my cell phone. It’s ridiculously “cheesy” and as a result, it’s always funny and everyone gets a kick out of it!
Give a Book a New Look! Scrap Paper DIY Book Cover and Ribbon Book Mark
Hello crafty friends! Today I am sharing how to give a book a new look by creating an easy scap paper DIY book cover and ribbon book mark. This was a totally impromptu craft inspired by a free book that I found on the library “free books” cart when I went to check out my new classroom today (Yay! My middle school choir students are getting an actual classroom! No more teaching on the stage in the auditorium! I digress…)
Hello friends and welcome back for another post in my Home Ownership 101 Series. Today I am sharing some ideas for creating usable space in the basement. Our basement waspartially useable, until the ice storms and extra snow and rain this past winter resulted in a leak. We have had to rip up all the laminate flooring in the teen bonus room and since then the basement has been nothing but a big mess. After the leak, we really started thinking of ways to improve the basement to make sure it stays safe and dry. Here are some plans and ideas we have for creating more useable space in the basement.
