Happy AUGUST and welcome to Thursday Favorite Things! I am so excited to be co-hosting this fabulous party with Katherine of Katherine’s Corner and a fantastic group of bloggers for this inspiring weekly link party for bloggers and blog readers!

If you would like to make some new friends,  grow your blog audience, or just find some weekly inspiration, this is the place to be! *Bloggers: Please leave a comment with the number of your link up for a chance to be featured at next week’s party. The hosts are all looking forward to what you’ll share this week! (If you missed the last party and the AWESOME features, you’ll find it here.) To get the party started, here’s what I have been up to recently:

New Butterflies in the Garden

I have spent the last week and a half working on adding some new flowers and sections to our backyard cottage garden. I am worn out, but I have been rewarded by the beautfy of some new butterflies and other beneficial pollinators in the garden. Yesterday I shared a post about a few of the new butterflies that are making our garden their home. I also shared about a couple of new plants that are drawing them in quickly!

“Throwback Thursday”

With gardening on my mind and the arrival of harvest time in August, I am sharing a throwback with tips for growing, harvesting and enjoying Fresh Summer Herbs.

I love seeing the butterflies. At our previous house, we planted a “butterfly bush,” and it really did attract them. I don’t see too many now, but I may need to do some planting!

with the drought here our garden has suffered a bit. My poor hubby it is his happy place but this year he lost some plants and everything is rather stunted. But the first bowl of tomatoes was delivered to my counter last night. So I see marinara in our future. Lovely features xo
