Summer Decorating at the New House!

We aren’t moved in our new house yet, but things are shaping up enough that I was able to do a little decorating for summer and the Fourth of July in our new living room!  Here’s a post I put together with some of the pics I shared on Instagram.  I will be sharing more posts on Instagram as we go along because it’s just a little easier right now than full blog posts.

We are hoping to squeeze a little beach vacation in at the end of summer. I just about can’t stand not to see the ocean at least once a year, and I like to surround myself with some summer coastal touches to help me feel connected to my beloved seashore. Our new house really has a New England or  even a Southern Coastal Cottage vibe and I am just loving how it is all coming together.

Thoughts on IG

Speaking of Instagram, my engagement is extremely low. With over 12k followers, it seems crazy that I am getting less than 30 likes on each photo some days. I truly believe this is because of algorthim changes and I am not posting reels everyday. After reserach, I found that now only 10% of your followers see your new posts on IG with the algortithm changes. If you haven’t been seeing my content, you will probably have to actually search my account and just comment a couple of times and maybe IG will start putting my posts on your feed. I have had to do this to see many of my favorite bloggers as well, as too many random ads and things are all I see these days on IG.
