Welcome to Thursday Favorite Things and Happy spring! I am thrilled to be joining Katherine at Katherine’s Corner and wonderful group of bloggers for my third year as a co-hostess for this fantastic weekly link party for bloggers and blog readers too!
If you are looking to grow your blog, make new friends, and or simply to be inspired each week, this is the place to be! *Bloggers: If you would like a chance to be featured, please leave a comment with the number of your link up. We can’t wait to see what you have to share this week! (If you missed the last party you can find it here.) To get the party started, let’s take a look at what I have been up to recently:
On Friday I shared my Early Spring Home Tour as part of the Spring Home Tours hosted by my friend Marty of A Stroll Thru Life. I am easing into spring with some simple changes and enjoying the beauty of free daffodils and forsythia to brighten these gloomy times! If all things spring make you happy, then don’t miss all 30 beautiful home tours full of gorgoeous spring decorating ideas. You can find links to each tour at the end of my post.
Small Spring Pleasures: Simply Sweet Violets
With all the uncertainty and stress that is going on in the world right now, I am concentrating on finding beauty and joy in the small things. In lieu of my weekly Pin Away Wednesdays post I shared a post all about sweet violets, one of my favorite small spring pleasures. There are still plenty of lovely images to “pin away” in this post!
This past weekend I planted up my pretty French box with spring flowers and started arranging plants and pots on my porch etagere. The tulips and daffodils have already started growing like crazy! I will share an update of my early spring porch refresh tomorrow as part of a fun Spring Decorating Ideas tour that is going on all this week hosted by my vintage-loving soul sister, Paula of Virginia Sweet Pea.
Now it’s time for some lovely features from last week’s party!

March 26, 2020 at 11:02 amBonjour, Amber! Your violets have charmed me thoroughly – truly – you have found a way to pierce the gloom, and that’s not a small thing. That bunny cake and the carrot cookies have my mouth watering as well – thank you for featuring creatives I might not otherwise find. I’m sharing at #90, 92, and 93 today and these posts aim to glimpse joy within unsavory circumstances. For me, finding joy is not about dreaming of the return to normalcy, as much as refining the lens. It is growing from shadow experiences, and allowing wisdom to deepen us as we allow reality to be reality. This surely demands spiritual maturity and resources that cannot be found in my arsenal of self transformation…sooooooo GRACE is essential. What a loving God who is in it with us! Wishing you tender mercies and peace right where you are. xox
