Well friends….NO NEW POST this week again! But let me give you a run down of what’s going on and maybe you’ll understand why!

  1. Finishing up painting so we can move in!
  2. Moving in anway around construction messes!
  3. Shopping and preparing for our son to leave for college in NY in 2 weeks!
  4. Moving my husband into his new office at his new job!
  5. My classroom got switched without notice 3 days before school starts. I was notified of this while I literally was covered in paint at the new house and told I needed to come and tell the maintenance men where to move my things and I only had one day because they are waxing the floors this week. School starts Monday. I don’t have a choir classroom at the middle school anymore, I am now stuck in the home ec classroom teaching choir around stoves and refrigerators. Nothing is ready.
  6. My older son got his first teaching job and just got access to his new room. He needed to have it decorated for open house TONIGHT so I have been doing his bulletin boards.
  7. Trying to clean the yellow brick home in the middle of moving in preparation for putting it on the market in September. It’s nowhere close
  8. Dealing with a major Lupus and Gastro flare up from sun exposure at the beach and all the stress I am under.
  9. Blogging what I can and trying to prepare for a fall home tour at the new house which I REALLY want to do but not looking like it’s going to be ready.

There’s more, I’m sure!

But, we have a nice, fresh new bedroom to move into!

Our new bedroom is ready but we still don’t have a door on the opening to our master bath and we didn’t get around to finishing it in time to move. We are going to at least try to get a bifold door stuck up there temporarily. But man I love those floors and the beautiful creamy walls (Behr Swiss Coffee.) I could just plop down there and pass out right now!

August Is National Peach Month

One thing I am enjoying is peach season. I had some delicious southern peaches on vacation last week, Even though I have to be careful going overboard eating anything right now with this flare up of reflux and throat issues. Here’s a peachy post that is full of transitional seasonal summer inspo.  I think peaches are so pretty in summer-to-fall decorating too!
