Merry Christmas season everyone! It’s the time of year for dreams to come true, and that’s just what happened for me when I received my copy of The Cottage Journal’s special publication, “Country Cottage Christmas” 2022, and saw our Christmas home tour from last year in print!
The article is entitled “100 Years of Home,” referencing last year’s blog home tour post celebrating our home’s centennial Christmas.
I pulled out all the stops last year and really hoped to create an old world and vintage-traditional Christmas ambience, with special references to our home’s 100th Christmas in A 1921 Historic Holiday Home Tour: My 100 Year-Old Kentucky Christmas Home.
When I was contacted by the Cottage Journal I was ecstatic! I have had several small magazine features that I am proud of, but it has long been a professional and personal artistic goal to have our Christmas home featured in one of my favorite home decorating magazines. The editor sent me these preview files in October, but it wasn’t until I actually got the magazine in hand that I allowed myself to be truly excited!
Here is an online snippet the Cottage Journal shared last week when the magazine hit the shelves. It’s has been surreal to see our home in print, but also my own styling and photography.
You can buy an actual print magazine or purchase the digital edition online. It isn’t available on Amazon yet, but I will update the link when it is. You can also can preview highlights of my tour and many other beautiful Christmas homes at Country Cottage Christmas 2022 online at The Cottage Journal.
Last year’s home tour was broken up into several parts. Of course not all of the photos could be included in the article, but if you want to see them all you can check out each of last year’s Christmas home tours.
I hope you are sharing in my excitement, because EACH OF YOU, my dear friends and readers, are partially responsible for this. Thank you! As I decorate I am always thinking of ways to inspire my readers, and when I have been dealing with health issues or feeling less than inspirational you have kept me going with your positive words and encouragement. If you plan to pick up a copy, please let me know!
I am not going all out this year with my home tour, but I do have some simple and classic vintage-elegant Christmas decor to share on my Christmas Home Tour on Thursday. I do hope you will stop by to check it out.
Thanks for visiting today!
