Beautiful Summer Inspiration at Thursday Favorite Things

Welcome to Thursday Favorite Things! I am so happy to be joining Katherine at Katherine’s Corner and a wonderful group of blogging friends as a co-hostess for this fantastic weekly link party for bloggers and blog readers too! If you are looking to grow your blog, make new friends, and be inspired each week, this is the place to be. *Bloggers: If you would like a chance to be featured, please leave me a comment with the number of your link up. We can’t wait to see what you have to share this week! (If you missed last week’s party you can find it here.???? To get the party started, let’s take a look at what I have been up to recently:

My family and I are on vacation this week at Wrightsville Beach (Wilimington, NC), so I have taken a little blogging break to unplug and spend some quality “be here now” time with my family (as well as to heal up tendinitis injuries in my wrists). We still have three more days to before our vacation ends and I plan to enjoy every last second!

Wrightsville Beach is a treasure trove for shell collectors! I love collecting beautiful shells to make keepsake crafts and for decor. I used many of my favorite shells from our 2017 visit to make pretty keepsake bottles and a shabby-chic “Mermaid Garden.”

This afternoon I will be hitting all the quaint vintage shops and thrift stores in the area. I absolutely can’t wait to see what’s new in stock at my favorite shop, Vintage Marketplace! Here are some treasures that caught my eye during my visit last summer:

Below is the link to the post I shared about the shop when I first visited in 2017. Take a virtual stroll around and enjoy lots of lovely vintage eye candy and coastal cottage treasures.

On Friday we will visit historic downtown Wilmington. Seeing all of the gorgeous historic homes is always one of my favorite parts of our trip! I will certainly share more pictures of the beautiful homes along with any of my junkin’ finds in a post next week.

Thanks for hosting! This week I am bringing more goodness from my home to your table. A delicious Blue Cheese Cole Slaw kicks off the list. Then a Three Color Pasta Salad salad for a cold light summer lunch. To round off the menu is a simple but delicious Creamy Grape Salad that Grandma used to make! Enjoy!

Eureka! Now I know what to do with this gorgeous old cast iron mermaid I have in the garden. Your mermaid, under the sea tableau has inspired me. Thank you greatly. Little projects like that are such a quiet joy to arrange and then hearing people gasp or ooh and ahh when they find them in the garden always makes me giggle.
