Wrapping Up January in Cozy Winter Style at Thursday Favorite Things

Welcome to Thursday Favorite Things! I am thrilled to be joining Katherine at Katherine’s Corner and wonderful group of bloggers for my third year as a co-hostess for this fantastic weekly link party for bloggers and blog readers too!

If you are looking to grow your blog, make new friends, and or simply to be inspired each week, this is the place to be! *Bloggers: If you would like a chance to be featured, please leave a comment with the number of your link up. We can’t wait to see what you have to share this week! (If you missed the last party you can find it here.)???? To get the party started, let’s take a look at what I have been up to recently:

Easy Diy Yarn Hearts and Faux Pom-Pom Garland

On Tuesday I joined my friend Cindy of County Road 407 and several talented bloggers for a fun Pinterest garland challenge. I shared how I made an Easy DIY Yarn Hearts  and Faux Pom-Poms Garland and a neutral winter vintage vignette.  Check out the post for all the detals and to find links to severl different kinds of beautiful diy garlands.

Beautiful ideas for decorating with paperwhites from winter through spring

Recently my winter kitchen nook decorated with a paperwhites theme has been a favorite with followers on my IG account and here on the blog. I also have enjoyed seeing how my blogging friends have been decorating with paperwhites for winter. Check out my post Winter Decorating with Paperwhites for some stunning examples of pretty paperwhites. These elegant flowers are just perfect for transitoning from winter to spring. Aren’t you excited that spring will soon be here when you will be able to have your open your windows more often?

This easy sewing tutorial will teach you how to make a fireplace draft stopper. This simple DIY idea uses a body pillow and will help save heating costs and block cold air this winter. draft stopper | draft protector | draft excluder | door draft blocker

There’s still plenty of cold weather left to endure however. Since heat can easily slip out of your home when there’s miniscule gaps around the window panes, or under the doors, and it can cost you an awful lot of money. Why not make a stylish DIY draft stopper (a.k. a. draft excluder)? Draught excluders are an easy and cost effective way to get rid of those heat slips to make your winter home seam more cozy. They might even help you save a some money on winter bills. It is also a good time to check your HVAC to make sure everything is working properly with  reliable aircon servicing from Airecontrol if you ever notice something amiss.

Now it’s time for some beautiful features from last week’s party!
