Decorate your home for early spring in simple vintage cottage style with daffodils, vintage treasures, and all things green!
Happy Sunday and welcome to a new series, Vintage Cottage Weekend! My friend Debra of Common Ground and I decided to start this series due to our shared love of Vintage Cottage Style decor and lifestyle. We will be sharing different ways we decorate our homes with this decor aesthetic or things that inspire us related to this style.
When March rolls around I shift my focus from cozy indoor winter living to all things cottage garden. I start spending more time out in my cottage garden, and when it’s still too chilly in early spring, I bring the outdoors in and decorate with lots of green and garden style items.
It’s Daffodils for days in March here in Eastern KY! Most of my daffodils are up and ready to bloom any day! I noticed this morning that my neighbors first clump of sweet buttercups bloomed overnight.
On rainy March days I often spend my free time perusing decorating and garden magazines or setting up springy vignettes with vintage treasures. Vintage dishes and fresh flowers are defintiely quintessential vintage cottage style.

These botanical daffodil pillows on the corner nook bench are my favorite spring pillows. They are perfect in this spot as I enjoy daffodils on my bistro table and out the windows into the garden.
A simple pot of tete a tete daffodils in a weathered green clay pot is a perfect March centerpiece on the bistro table.
There are always daffodils and green garden themes in the dining room during early spring.
In addition to daffodils I decorate with mossy green garden and nature themes in March; Of course there is always a wee nod or two to St. Patrick’s Day. I made this DIY Mossy Shamrock in no time with just a couple of supplies for only $3.oo!

One of the things about blogging and sharing older pictures is that it helps you remember that you forgot where things are! I really have no idea where I have tucked this sweet March angel. I am on the hunt this weekend!
An early spring styled tray with beautiful faux greenery and neutral nature elements is perfect for transitioning from winter to spring.
For more vintage cottage style March inspiration, head over to Debra’s blog to check out her post on Irish Cupboards. Isn’t this cupboard dreamy?
I hope you have enjoyed this little weekend visit full of vintage cottage style inspiration! If you love daffodils and spring bulb flowers as much as I do, be sure to subscribe by email and swing by often of the next few weeks as I will continue to share posts with “daffodils for days!” Spring flowers are my favorites!
Are you adding springy vintage cottage and garden style to your home? I love hearing from you!
Thanks for visiting!

March 6, 2022 at 9:15 pmLove your nook and bistro table! When I was a kid I would admire the birthday month dolls at Hallmark. I haven’t thought of those in ages. Is Hallmark even around anymore??
