Hello friends and welcome back for another post in my weekly Pin Away Wednesday series! Even though there is still a little over a month until fall, school started back today in our area which is always the unofficial end of summer. My family is headed back to the beach in a couple of weeks for a weekend, which means I am certainly not out of summer mode just yet, but after that I will be all about fall! Fall is my favorite season and I have several fall-related Pinterest boards that I will be sharing over the next couple of months as part of this series. For my first fall post during this transitional time of year, I am sharing highlights from my Farmhouse Fall Decor board. If you love farmhouse style and all things fall, get ready to pin away!
No matter what style of house you may have, it is easy to decorate the porch for fall in farmhouse style. Fall and farmhouse decor seem to go together like hot apple cider and (gluten free) doughnuts! Grab some galvanized buckets, bushel baskets or country crocks and fill them with mums, then place them in a grouping with an assortment of pumpkins. Add a farmhouse style fall sign or two and voila! Welcome (farmhouse) fall!

Foyers and entryways are super easy to style for fall using everyday items. Tall boots stuffed with some colorful branches, a flannel shirt or plaid scarf hanging on a coat rack, and a simple basket of apples or pumpkins can create a warm welcome for harvest time.
Fall is a time for gathering together with family and friends while celebrating all the beauty of nature’s most glorious color show. When it comes to fall farmhouse style, the more pumpkins the merrier!
In recent years white, green, and cool hued pumpkins have gained popularity, particularly in farmhouse style decor. These pumpkins always look beautiful displayed on chippy-shabby farmhouse furniture, and grouped with other vintage collectibles and ironstone dishes in vignettes.

Farmhouse kitchens are so fun to decorate in the fall using harvest fruits and vegetables, coffee, cider and hot cocoa as themes.
Styled trays are on trend, and it’s easy to see why when you can fit tons of treasures and tiny vignettes in one spot without taking up much space on the counter.

Well, I have to admit that I wasn’t quite in a fall mood yet when I started working on this post, but now I am feeling that familiar twinge of excitement I get every year as fall approaches. I still am enjoying summer style around our home and I will be sharing one last summer tablescape on Friday, so I hope you will stop back by for that. Next week I will begin packing away some of the summer decor and I will start transitioning slowly transitioning to fall.
Are you ready for fall yet or are you holding on to the last days of summer? I love hearing from you!
Thanks for visiting today!

August 14, 2019 at 11:57 pmAmber I’m a huge fall person. Honestly I love the entire cold season. I come alive during this time of year.
So many great ideas here. I’m one who has gone for the softer side of pumpkins for many years. A bit pricey but so worth it.
I would love to find old crocks and is on my list. Wish me luck. This year I may spring for copper mugs at the right price.
Looking forward to seeing more.

A fun fall post, Amber! Sometimes I think we just get used to one season, then poof! it’s time for the next. I am late reading this post (Nov. 1st), but it’s still right on the money for me. <3
Enjoy your fall,
