Hello friends and welcome back to my Pin Away Wednesdays series! Spring is here and I am loving every minute of it! We have some nice days, allowing me to get outside to enjoy some early spring planting and garden clean up. On cooler days I have been getting my gardening and flower fix from a couple of my favorite garden-themed boards on Pinterest. Today I am sharing highlights from my Country Cottage Garden Style Pinterest board. If you love flowers and vintage junk garden style, get ready to pin away!
I have a few Pinterest boards dedicated to flowers and gardening, but this board is for all of those beautiful images that capture essence of country gardens or country garden style. Sometimes the images I pin remind me of childhood summers in here Kentucky, while other pins might be of dreamy beautiful English cottage gardens or French gardens.
Meandering paths through heirloom perennial gardens with gates leading to secret gardens have always fascinated me.
There is nothing quite like waking up early in the country on a summer morning when many of the old country flowers are putting on their best summer show.
I am always looking for ways to add country cottage garden style around our home. This year I finally started an old fashioned perennial garden in our backyard. In addition to garden design and flower inspiration, I sometimes even pin posts about organic ways to rid your garden of weeds!
My love of chippy rusty old garden tools or vintage junk repurposed in the garden as art or for utilitarian purposes is also evident on this board.
Any kind of bucket, barrel, basket, container or crate can be turned into a flower pot. I love old wooden boxes or crates repurposed to hold flowers, and of course anything galvanized looks great in a country cottage garden.
Are you out of room to display vintage dishes in your china cabinets or shelves? Why not upcycle them in the garden to add a touch of whimsy and beauty? This is a great use for pretty floral dishes that are cracked or chipped.
My absolute favorite gardens combine country cottage, English cottage, and French garden elements.
No country cottage gardening themed Pinterest board would be complete without a few pins of dreamy potting sheds or she sheds!
A cute shed is definitely on my garden dream list! I have a couple of totes full of vintage garden tools and old pots just waiting for the day to find their forever home in my future garden shed!
I have always loved chairs repurposed to hold flowers. You can usually find old chairs at thrift shops, yard sales or consignment shops (or maybe even your own basement) for super cheap. Or if you prefer using a metal chair so you don’t have to worry about rotting wood, you can always order some extremely cheap outdoor furniture online.
I am always pinning cute ideas for potting benches too. I love the creative use of doors or mismatched pieces of vintage furniture to make unique potting benches.
I have an old farm sink just sitting in the garage that I would love to turn into a potting bench like this one sometime this summer.
I can never resist pinning a pretty vintage bicycle filled with flowers! Old bicycles instantly add such country cottage style to any garden.
Well friends, my flowers have been looking good this summer but we desperately need a few dry days of sunshine here. I keep moving my pots up to the porch to shelter then from all the torrential rain we have been having! I certainly hope I will be able to share a garden and patio tour next week if the sun decides to shine. Be sure to keep checking back for the tour or simply subscribe by email for a weekly newsletter with all my latest posts so you won’t miss it.
I hope you have enjoyed seeing some highlights from my Country Cottage Garden Style Pinterest Board! If you love this style you can follow my board here, as I pin new country garden inspired pins year round.
Are you looking forward to late spring and summer gardening as much as I am? I love hearing from you, dear readers!
Thanks for visiting today!

beautiful inspirations my friend. I especially love the country garden and the one from Pinterest. They are what I dream of for our cottage by the water. xo

April 24, 2020 at 11:30 amHi Amber! We have had a series of weeks of grey, overcast days either with rain or without. Luckily, today (Sunday, 5/2) as I write, it was a beautiful sunny day to dry us out. The garden is taking shape only to prep for the (hopefully approved this coming week!) garden shed and fence move here in our backyard.
Anyway, happy to feature your fun garden inspiration post at this past week’s Share Your Style #301 for you. <3
Enjoy the upcoming week, and happy gardening!
