Hello dear readers and welcome back for another post in my Home Ownership 101 Series. Even though fall is on the way, it’s still super hot in most places which means the ac will be running for several more weeks. The last thing anyone wants is to have it break down during a sweltering hot 90 degree day! Furthermore, colder fall weather will be here before we know it and we all want to be able to keep our homes comfy cozy with a working HVAC. This summer we unfortunately had to replace our whole unit which was totally unexpected. Since having a new unit installed we have decided to do our best to make sure that our HVAC system is well-maintained and working properly. *This post may contain affiliate links.Read more
Welcome back again to my Home Ownership 101 series. Today I am sharing a little more on the topic of HVAC and why it is beneficial to choose a packaged HVAC system if you are building or replacing your old system. If you are planning to repair an old house, you may want to replace the old and inefficient system with a modern unit. Read more
Welcome friends! With August coming to a close I have been tidying up the garden, harvesting herbs, and planting seeds for cool weather crops. This week I harvested some of the beautiful eucalyptus that my son bought me for Mother’s Day. Once I brought it inside and put it in a simple glass hobnail vase, I thought it looked so pretty and I was inspired to create a little vignette in the dining room.*This post contains affiliate links. Welcome to Thursday Favorite Things! I am so happy to be joining Katherine at Katherine’s Corner and a wonderful group of blogging friends as a co-hostess for this fantastic weekly link party for bloggers and blog readers too! We can’t wait to see what you have to share this week! (If you missed last week’s party you can find it here. To get the party started, let’s take a look at what I have been up to recently:
On Tuesday I joined my friend Cindy of County Road 407 and several blogging friends for our monthly Pinterest challenge. August’s theme was “Coffee Table Vignettes.” It was super fun and inspiring to see all of the different interpretations of one photo chosen from Pinterest. Each blogger shared great tips for styling coffee tables. If you are looking for everyday coffee table styling ideas or ways to transition from summer to fall, be sure to check out my post and all the other blogs via the link up at the end of my post.
This week I partnered with Dollar Tree in celebrating their one year anniversary of carrying Expressions from Hallmark and Heartline greeting cards. To celebrate they are having a sweepstakes where 20 lucky winners will receive a box of assorted Hallmark greeting cards and a $100 Dollar Tree Gift card! With all the fun fall crafts you can make with Dollar Tree supplies, be sure to visit my post to enter to win!
This week I have been giving my home a thorough deep clean from top to bottom in preparation for fall decorating! I didn’t post a Pin Away Wednesdays post yesterday because I needed to take some time to go through my fall totes and to start making a few changes from summer to fall around our home. I even painted a few pumpkins! Next Tuesday I will be hosting the Transitioning from Summer to Fall Blog Hop to share some ideas for decorating during this “in between” decor season. Twenty blogging friends will be joining me with lots of creative late summer/early fall inspiration you won’t want to miss.
Last year’s Transitioning from Summer to Fall hop was extremely popular with readers! If you missed my post last year you can check it out here.
Now it’s time for some beautiful features from last week’s TFT party!
