No Spring home tour this week…

This week I had intended to join several blogging friends for a spring home tour, but over the weekend my close aunt received a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. She is only 59 and as you can imagine, our family is devastated. I just wasn’t in the mood to decorate, photograph, or write a big blog tour post. Please remember my aunt Tami in your prayers. We are praying for a miracle, that the cancer is contained in only a portion of her pancreas that can be removed and that she can live several more years.  We are still waiting on a few more tests to make sure the cancer hasn’t spread elsewhere but she is going to begin chemo very soon.

She is a strong woman of faith and her attitude actually perked me up a bit and gave me hope! I had a half a day off work today for an eye doctor appointment, so I took the time to do some deep spring cleaning and catch up on some spring decorating.  I have spring break next week, so I HOPE to have sunny days for taking pictures and I can get a  spring decor post  up by the end of the week!

Big Birthdays to Celebrate!

Monday is my 5oth birthday, and this weekend we are going to visit our son in NY, who turns 20 tomorrow! Rather than complaining about getting older, I am going to live each day to the fullest and be grateful for every day God blesses me and my family with!

*Speaking of getting older, I noticed that I had misspelled several words in last week’s TFT post. I didn’t catch it at the time, but I couldn’t find my glasses when I wrote the post. I am not completely losing my menopausal mind…just my glasses three or four times a day (even when they are on my head!)

Pretty Spring Door Basket Ideas

I will be praying for your aunt, Amber. Sounds like she is doing the hard thing the Lord has called her to, and trusting Him for the good things! Happy birthday, as well! I giggled at your menopausal humor today. 😉 I’m at 34 and 35. It’s nice having Thursdays off and being able to visit here early!
