Happy February, and welcome to Thursday Favorite Things! I am thrilled to celebrate my fourth year co-hosting this fabulous weekly link party for bloggers and blog readers with Katherine of Katherine’s Corner and a fantastic group of bloggers!
If you would like to make some new friends, grow your blog audience, or just find some weekly inspiration, this is the place to be! *Bloggers: Please leave a comment with the number of your link up for a chance to be featured at next week’s party. The hosts are all looking forward to what you’ll share this week! (If you missed the last party and the AWESOME features, you’ll find it here.) To get the party started, here’s what I have been up to:
WINTER STORM in Louisville, KY Feb. 3-4, 2022
I spent Wednesday through Saturday in Louisville, Kentucky for all-state choir and the Kentucky Music Educator’s convention. We had an (ICY) blast at the event despite the horrible snow and ice storm.
I am so proud of my three high school boys who made the high school choir and my two middle school girls who made the Junior High chorus. I also gained some new ideas and insights to bring back to my classroom!
BIG NEWS!!!! Literally!
CBS evening news showed up in Louisville to do a story on the long-standing tradition of all of the choir members singing the National Anthem every year at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. It is an absolutely amazing tradition! My senior student was interviewed and may be featured on national news! The story is supposed to air this coming Thursday, 2/10, so I hope you’ll be watching!
As a result of my busy week last week and resting up over the weekend and this week, I didn’t share any new posts with the exception of All About Home on Monday. Here’s a throwback to one of my most creative and fun Valentine’s Day posts. If you love a good “love story” I think you’ll enjoy it!
