Easter Antiques and Treats in NY

Easter Antiques and spring booth display ideas at Hyde Park Antiques Center

Happy Easter weekend everyone! I have been out of town since Tuesday for our son’s college graduation from the Culinary Institute of America (Congrats Liam!) and we had some time to do some antiquing and shopping while we were in the Hudson Valley Area.

Since I didn’t have time to do an Easter home tour, I thought it would be fun to share some of the Easter treasures I enjoyed while browsing the Hyde Park Antiques Center and Adams Local Grocery store.

The Hyde Park antiques center was always a must-d0 on our visits to see our son over the past two years.

I loved all of the pretty Easter and spring dislays with garden themes.

I’ll take the lot!

Seeing all of the French-garden inspired displays gave me some ideas for my late spring and summer decorating indoors and out.

I love this collection of vintage flower frogs in a large dough bowl.

These litte Anna Lee Easter figures with colorful spring clothes and accesories are so cute!

I am always parital to any baby chick items for Easter, as I used to get live baby chicks for Easter when I was a little girl.

This booth was one of my favorites. I loved how the simple bowl of eggs tied in with the gorgeous antique sofa in the background.

If I would have had a way to get this sofa home, I would have bought it! I have no idea where I would put it, but it’s such a beauty. I wanted those pillows too!

I didn’t need, but REALLY wanted this papier mache duck!

After graduation we went to one our son’s favorite local markets, Adams grocery. The bakery section is full of the “sweetest” Easter goodies. Even though I don’t eat sugar and have food allergies, I still enjoy looking at all of the creative confections.

We were lucky to enjoy a beautiful spring day on graduation day. The Culinary Institue campus is always so lovely and we will truly miss it!

Now we are back home with our son who will be here for about 6 weeks before moving on to work in the restaurant industry. Tomorrow we will celebrate the true meaning of Easter at Church and then he is going to prepare us a tasty Easter dinner. I am feeling blessed to have both of my sons here for the holiday and to know the true meaning of the holiday:

John 10:11 “The good shepherd giveth his life for his sheep”

A Holy Easter

May your Easter be happy and blessed!

Amber
