Spring is the time for deep cleaning, decluttering, and organizing around our homes. It is also a time to craft and create! I have spent the past week cleaning out my craft room and I realized I really need some kind of labeling system for my totes and containers. In addition to using labels to organize things, there are so many awesome free printables and beautiful vinyl transfers for use in French and farmhouse style crafts. Today I am sharing a few labeling ideas that I have found interesting.
Vintage Apothecary Labels
As I was cleaning I also came across a ton of old bottles that I have been saving to turn into vintage style apothecary bottles using vintage labels.
Advertising labels can be added to just about anything and instantly you can create the look of a vintage item.
Chalkboard Labels
Are you good with a pen? Using chalk labels can be a great way to organize your pantry and make it easier for you to find what you’re looking for. You can get crafty with some DIY chalkboard labels that you can use to cover everything and anything.
I love these large chalkboard labels. I think they would be great for our holiday totes and craft supply totes.
Chalkboard labels are also cute for labeling toy containers.
If you don’t want to use your handwriting, you can always print chalkboard labels using the font of your choice.
I buy my herbs in bulk, so I have been wanting to make some herb with attractive farmhouse chalkboard labels.
For a retro vibe, there are also some fun things you can do with an ordinary label maker.
Get creative with vinyl labels
Vinyl decals are a fun craft project, with so many uses! Did you see how I used an inexpensive Dollar Tree vinyl decal to create Rae Dunn inspired pottery? It is so easy to use pre-made vinyl decals to create your own cool coffee mugs, plates, etc.
