Hello dear readers! Have you been enjoying all the fall home tours lately? There are truly so many beautiful homes decorated for this glorious season, especially on Instagram! Today is a very special day here at Follow The Yellow Brick Home as I have invited my talented Instagram decorating friend, Laura @theclassiccottage to be my special guest blogger! She has amazing style and will be sharing her own home as well as some other beautiful Instagram accounts which have been inspiring her lately! Grab yourself a cup of coffee or tea and get ready to see some really beautiful photos. Take it away Laura!!!!
What’s not to love about fall? Pumpkins, hayrides, hot apple cider, corn mazes, pumpkin spice lattes, and of course, beautiful, cozy fall décor are just a few of the fun and exciting things we enjoy during this season. I have a confession to make. I’ve been scanning some beautiful accounts on Instagram for some fall décor inspiration and I am amazed at what I’ve found! It is always so much fun to see other’s creativity, interpretation and perspective on fall décor.
I’ve observed traditional fall color palates, warm oranges, reds and yellows, to neutral tones, blues, greens and whites. Some have created an entirely new color scheme that is both rich and elegant using plum, greens and whites. Let’s take a little tour of some beautiful homes decorated for the season.
If you haven’t discovered Denise’s @dreamyydecor Instagram account, you are truly missing out on some gorgeous fall inspiration! You are greeted at her entryway with a crisp white chair adorned with neutral pumpkins which sets the tone for her beautiful home.
Her neutral fall tablescape is stunningly beautiful! All of those gorgeous pumpkins highlighted by her natural wood table are certainly show stoppers! I’m available for dinner anytime, Denise!
Denise’s use of whites, greens and blues along with natural wood tones create an inviting and warm dining space!
Her bedroom is so peaceful and inviting and she adds a sweet little pumpkin to her nightstand adding just a touch of this beautiful season to her décor.
Sherri’s @tinycottagedecor home is a beautiful mix of antique furniture, with black and white accents. She incorporates her fall décor seamlessly! Her dining room and mantel pictures will cause your IG scrolling to come to a screeching halt as you feast your eyes on the many beautiful fall elements in these spaces.
Sherri’s black cabinet and mug holder combined with copper accents and green pumpkins are just another beautiful display of her creativity.
Grab a cup of coffee, curl up in a comfy chair with your favorite wool blanket and enjoy her beautiful gallery!
Tina’s @tgjghome rich plum, warm greens and clean white fall color palate is absolutely stunning! As you approach her home, you’ll be greeted by a beautiful porch swing draped in a cozy blanket and plum pillow.
The interior of her home reflects this same neutral color palate with pops of plum and green accents making for an unexpected, elegant fall display. She has created a beautiful dough bowl tablescape adorned with white hydrangeas, greenery and rich purple cabbages.
Talk about a show stopper! Her use of plum in her fall décor is breathtakingly beautiful! Her white sofa displays a plum throw while her dining table is decked out in a plum, ruffled table cloth.
Tina’s home is unique and elegant and is a beautiful combination of traditional fall elements with a twist!
Finally, I’d like to welcome you to my home!
I have chosen to decorate my home in subtle, neutral fall décor and incorporate it with my everyday décor. When you enter, you’ll find white pumpkins, subtle greens, some gray/blue and copper accents.
I also have a new obsession with wheat stalks. I love the way they add height and warmth to any space, whether it’s a coffee table centerpiece, a shelf or a mantle, these little bundles of joy add a little extra touch of texture and can be used in place of florals.
Our dining room is mostly white and I added subtle tones of greens and creams to keep the neutral theme going.
When entering our living room, you’ll notice our mantel is dressed in dried(faux) hydrangeas, brass candlesticks and birch candles.
Our piano is also topped with white and green pumpkins and wheat stalks along with a sign reminding us to be thankful for the goodness of God in any season.
I decided to decorate our bedroom for the first time this year and I just love it! It’s not over the top, but just enough to add a little something special.
And finally, our kitchen has just a few simple fall elements. Our kitchen is pretty small and we don’t have any wall space with the exception of one small space. I added some shelves and displayed some copper accents and white pumpkins.
It was so much fun guest blogging here with Amber at Follow The Yellow Brick Home and exploring these beautiful Instagram accounts:@tinycottagedecor @dreamyydecor @tgjghome Go check them out! I promise you will not be disappointed and will get some gorgeous fall decor inspiration!
