Happy JUNE and welcome to Thursday Favorite Things! I am so excited to be co-hosting this fabulous party with Katherine of Katherine’s Corner and a fantastic group of bloggers for this inspiring weekly link party for bloggers and blog readers!
If you would like to make some new friends, grow your blog audience, or just find some weekly inspiration, this is the place to be! *Bloggers: Please leave a comment with the number of your link up for a chance to be featured at next week’s party. The hosts are all looking forward to what you’ll share this week! (If you missed the last party and the AWESOME features, you’ll find it here.) To get the party started, here’s what I have been up to recently:
Happy National Gardening Week!
It’s National Gardening Week and I have been spending almost all my free time (in between the rain!) in my garden. Here is a peek at an urn full of herbs and clearance plants that I planted early this week. Every year around this time I end up getting a lot of plants for next to nothing at a local grocery store that also has a greenhouse. The plants always look a little rough by June, but with some TLC I almost always bring them back to life!
I was really late getting my new raised cedar garden bed planted up, but everything is starting to grow nicely. Here is how it is looking this morning after it rained and rained all day yesterday. I am hoping the rain passes by today!
Earlier this week I shared a post all about some new and interesting garden discoveries I unexpectedly made over last weekend. Check out my post to find out what they were!
Tomorrow I will be sharing my early summer home tour as part of the annual Summer Home Tours hosted by Marty of A Stroll Thru Life. The tours are always so full of inspiration and fresh ideas!
Throwback Thursday
This time last year we were just finishing up our backyard cottage garden with my cute vintage sink-potting bench. After a year it looks a bit different, so stay tuned a June 2021 update!

June 10, 2021 at 8:53 pmHappy gardening, Amber! I’ve been outside checking on plants and will be weeding on Saturday and clearing up tree debris while Mr. E mows in preparation for my MIL and SIL who will be driving out from California. 🙂 Would you believe that I have two Cinderella pumpkins growing in my compost pile right now?? It’s way too early, yet they are happy with their spot and all the rain we have consistently had. 😉 Guess I’ll be making some early fall photos… 😉
I love the sweet fleabane daisies you have! My two tomato plants are doing well and I just picked the first tomato for lunch today. So that’s what’s up in the garden besides some bugs eating holes in leaves.
Thank you for hosting the party, as always. I’ve linked up #122, 123 and 124 with some recycled blue jean and American flag placemats I made yesterday (today’s RWB post, #122), and a couple of recent ones. Hope all is well with you and that you are enjoying your summer vacation!

Thanks a million for the feature, Amber!!! What a motherlode of glorious lovely inspiration today. The pops of yellow in your post are especially grabbing me. Yellow is definitely having a moment, and your yellow brick home must surely approve. 🙂 I’m sharing our bedroom’s little luxuries at #125 and thank you kindly for the opportunity to gather at TFT. xox
