Hello friends! It’s hard to believe that May has come and gone and the school year has come to an end! I am so looking forward to spending my free time playing around in my garden! Over the past week things are really blooming out, especially my Madame Butterfly Snapdragons.

I did manage to stop and take the time this week to smell (and snip) some herbs and to enjoy watching my beautiful snapdragons start to bloom! I will share more about these lovely flowers next week.

Hello dear friends! It’s the time of year when we book our vacation reservations for the beach and I start to dream of days spent relaxing by the shore. I absolutely love the ocean and hope to retire there one day, or maybe even have a vacation cottage in the not too distant future. Today I am sharing some easy, breezy coastal cottage style decor and dreamy beach cottages just for fun and inspiration. *This post contains affiliate links.
Decks can be used year round, and periodically it’s important to take some time for maintenance and upgrades to prolong their life. Then of course you can have some fun sprucing them up for barbecue parties, al fresco dinners, or hours spent relaxing with friends and family. My husband and I have been discussing the idea of adding a deck on to the side of our house or possibly even to the side of our garage which leads to a decent sized yard that we haven’t made much use out of. I have been researching deck ideas and trying to figure out which type of deck or patio would best suit our needs.
