All About Home Link Party #54

All About Home Blogger Link Party Home Decor Party

Hello and welcome to the 54th All About Home Link Party! I am so happy to be spending some time with you this evening after a very tough first week back-to-teaching and an extremely busy day at work today in preparation for teaching students 100% online, beginning Wednesday. I am seriously in need of some beautiful and creative inspiration related to things that are “All About Home,” and not things that are “All About Teaching Virtually In The Middle of a Pandemic!” I know I will find that inspiration here at the party! As always, I am so thankful that you are stopping by and I enjoy your friendship and visits more than you will ever know.

Debra and I are thrilled to be your hosts each week. Before we move on to the link up, here’s what we have been up to recently:

The Simple and Beautiful Things That Helped Me Survive My First Week Back-to-Teaching (During a Pandemic!)

This week I was so busy, and so mentally and physically exhausted that I didn’t have much time to spend enjoying things that are all about home. I did manage to stay sane by taking pleasure in some simple and beautiful things that helped me relax and brought me joy despite everything that is going on in the education world. Yesterday I shared a heartfelt post about those particular things, teaching choir virtually, and a Christian perspective on how I am approaching all of the new challenges I face as an educator.

These beautiful roses were a surprise from my husband to cheer me up after seeing how rough the first few days  back to work were. He was experiencing some of my same feelings since he is an assistant principal and there is so much he must do differently now too. I found this little green vase on a quick junkin’ therapy excursion after school on Friday. It is the perfect vase for my sweet roses!

I’m glad my daughter graduated from college last year and we don’t have to face the tough decisions that so many parents are dealing with. I always find stress relief in flower therapy.
