Christmas Crafts and Holiday DIYS Christmas DIY

Hello friends and welcome back for another post in my Pin Away Wednesdays series! With Thanksgiving just over a week away and the holiday season beginning, I thought it would be the perfect time to share some highlights from my Christmas Crafts and Holiday DIYS Pinterest board. There are so many amazing pins that it was hard to narrow them down for this post, but here’s a few favorites:

Best Dried Orange Garland DIY ideas - Red Ted Art - Make crafting with kids easy & fun

Dried Orange Slices Garland~Red Ted Art

Ever since I was a little girl and sold oranges during the holidays as a fundraiser for cheerleading, I have thought of them as more of a Christmas than summer fruit. We always had bowls of fresh oranges around our home for the holidays and I loved snacking on them. Now that I am older I use fragrant, fresh oranges in my fall and holiday decorating, I also love natural and colonial style Christmas decorations like pretty dried orange slices garlands and cloved orange pomanders. To see how I decorate with them for the holidays, you can check out my Christmas Home Tour from last year.

Vintage French Christmas Postcards - free printable!

Vintage French Christmas Postcards Free Printable ~The Graphics Fairy

Nothing creates a cozy holiday atmosphere quite like candles. I love the idea of dressing up a plain candle with a vintage graphic.

Graceful taper candles look even more elegant when paired with pretty candle rings. To make these floral rings, cut doughnut shapes from florist foam using round cookie cutters. Lightly wet foam and place on sturdy candlesticks. Push stems of flowers and greenery into the foam. (We used spray roses, stars of Bethlehem hypernicum berries, and hydrangeas.)

A pretty DIY candle ring adds a holiday charm to ordinary taper candles for the holidays.

I also have plenty of old buttons, jewelry pieces and ribbons for embellishments.
